Monday 2nd, June 2014...
The day two out of three members of the shield were betrayed. The day where the youngest boy of the group turned his back on his, so-called, 'brothers'. The day where time had stopped and nothing felt surreal. That day was today...
Jon couldn't believe what was happening. He couldn't believe that his best friend, brother and lover had turned his back on him. Yes, lover. In fact, Good had a crush on Lopez, ever since the FCW days. Jon had told Joe about this whole man-crush on Colby. As a matter of fact, Joe encouraged Jon to tell Colby about his emotions. But Jon didn't think it was a good idea, he never had the bravery to tell him... He was too scared. Worried that his feelings for Lopez would ruin their friendship.
Jon looked up at Colby, with a disgusted expression on his face. How could Lopez do that to him? What was going on in the kids mind?
"You bastard!" Screamed the scruffy-looking man, "How could you?! I thought we were b-brothers..." Jon stammered, trying his hardest not to cry. If you're a man, you don't cry about it, you take life, the ups and downs; if you're a real man you never go down, you just stay up. To add onto that, there was a whole crowd watching his every move. Imagine waking up in the morning to the news headlines; WWE Superstar, Dean Ambrose, Crying Live On Raw! How humiliating that would be!
Whilst walking out the arena, Colby took one more glance at the destruction he had caused. His brown orbs meeting Jon's blue ones. Jon saw the guilt in Colby's deep brown eyes, almost like he was forced to betray his teammates.
Colby looked away from Jon's gaze and walked backstage with the authority.
After a few minutes of laying around, Anoaʻi and Good, slowly, started to get up. It hurt to move but they're big boys now, surely they could handle the pain.
They then walked backstage and to their locker room, holding each other to keep their balance on their feet.
Once they arrived at their destination, Jon sighed and slouched down onto the couch, hoping the couch would just eat him up alive.
The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies...
"We'll have better days without him..." Joe spoke, sitting beside Jon.
"All my better days are the ones I spent with him..." Jon whispered but just about loud enough for Joe to hear him.
"Forget about him Jon, he's nothing to us anymore," Joe spat, which ignited a fire in Jon.
"Forget about him? Joe, I can't just forget about him! He was everything to me, except mine..." Jon uttered, whispering the last part.
"He's everything to you? Well, clearly, you mean nothing to him! He stabbed us in the back! He betrayed us! And you still love him? Wake up, Good. Life isn't some fairytale, he's not coming back..." Joe warned as tears stung Jon's eyes, "I'm gonna have a shower, I'll be back in a few minutes then we can leave," And with that, Joe left to hit the showers.
As soon as Jon heard the bathroom door close, he burst out into tears. Although Joe was being harsh with him, Jon knew he was right. Colby was never going to come back, and that hurt Jon more. The newly formed bruises and scratches on his body was nothing compared to all the pain in his innocent, little heart.
"Wake up, Good. Life isn't some fairytale, he's not coming back..." Joe's words repeated in Jon's unstable mind.
It was over, but somehow Jon's broken heart still found a way to beat. And it was the most painful type of loss. Colby. Slowly melting away. Making sure he burnt every last piece of Jon's heart. He lost something. Something he never had. Yet it hurt, just as bad...
The sound of the chair banging and clashing echoed in his mind. Almost like it was haunting him...
So many questions flooded his head. But the question that came up most, was, Why?
It didn't make any sense. The shield was the most dominant group in the whole of WWE. So why would Lopez ruin it?
Jon couldn't take it anymore. He wanted answers. He needed answers. He got up from the couch and walked out of the locker room. He immediately made his way to the authorities office.
Please be in here, Colby... Jon contemplated.
He knocked on the door three times and waited. After a few seconds, the door was opened by a muscular man. He had long, two-toned hair that sat on his broad shoulders. His eyes were the type of brown that was like sweet chocolate. They set Jon in a trance. He couldn't look away.
"J-Jon?" A deep, but yet soft voice spoke, "W-What are you doing here?"
