november breeze.
act iii, scene xxv
IT WAS FINALLY NOVEMBER AND THE WEEK DRACO IS SUPPOSED TO COME BACK TO HOGWARTS, and Sowon can finally breath happily. Sitting with Luna and Ginny at the Gryffindor table, Sowon found that the group has been doing some mischief behind her back. But she didn't really care as she rather stay out of getting punished.Sowon also found it fascinating that the group could get through it without getting in trouble. Then she realized that they use the Room of Requirements to hide from getting in trouble. They were brilliant. Neville comes down to the table and sits down next to Sowon with Luna and Ginny in front of them.
Even though the professors refused to let other houses sit with each other this year, Sowon didn't care as she didn't see it as a big deal as she does it every day now and she doesn't get in trouble. Looking around, Sowon looks over at the Slytherins table to see Pansy Parkinson yelling at Blaise. It was a sight to see.
Sowon always found Pansy a character. Yes Pansy was obsessive over Draco but Sowon knew it wasn't her place to step in and take care of their relationship. Draco hated the girl so Sowon never got jealous of the two talking. But for Pansy if she found anyone talking to Draco she would rip them to pieces. Luckily she never found out about Sowon and Draco's relationship.
Ginny places a piece of bread on Sowon's plate, taking her out of her thoughts, "Eat some more."
"I'm fine don't worry," Sowon says, picking the bread off her plate. Before she could place it back on Ginny's plate, the Great Hall's door opens. Sowon looks over to sees Draco walking into the room making everyone gasp as no one has seen him since last year and was wondering what he was doing there. Everyone knew he was a Death-Eater so they feared him.
The piece of bread falls out of her hands as she watches him walk over to the Slytherin table and takes a seat next to Blaise. Neville coughs and shakes his head, "What's that git doing here?"
"What do you think? Probably helping good old Snape!" Ginny comments, biting into her bacon. None of the three take notice to Sowon's discomfort. Sowon understood and knew their reason to being so mean to the boy but it still made her uncomfortable.
Sowon picks at her food with her fork, "Isn't it time for defense, Neville?"
Neville looks at his watch and nods. So the two of them stands up and walks out of the Great Hall together. They both head towards their class and walks in right on time. It was the one of the Carrows class. Sowon couldnt tell who was who as she surely didn't care to know. But the class was something she dreaded going too.
Once everyone was in the class, Mr. Carrow pulls in the first years making Sowon eyes widen not understanding what was happening. Then her hand covers her mouth in shock when she realizes they were going to make them use the Stupefy Curse on them. Sowon turns to Neville who also had the same expression.
"Today I want you all to cast the Stupefy curse on your first year partner. I'll be putting you in partners."
Sowon shakes her head and turns to Neville who was just partnered with a boy first year. Mr. Carrows partners her up with a tiny blonde hair first year girl. Shivering in fear, she couldn't do it and she gladly wouldn't. Looking around her, Sowon finds that there were two Slytherins who didn't do it while none of the Gryffindors were going to do it. There were no Ravenclaws in this class and Sowon was the only Hufflepuff in the class.
"If you don't do it, I'll gladly Stupefy you." The professor yells.
Sowon looks at the kid who had tears in her eyes. Suddenly she hears Mr. Carrrow yell Stupefy at one the Slytherins who didn't do it and then at the next one. "You're a disgrace to your house," The professor comments, shaking his head and then moves on to the five Gryffindors in the room.
He casts every single one of them with the curse, none of them fighting back because it was useless. Sowon was the last one. Closing her eyes, Sowon takes a deep breath waiting to be hit with the pain of the curse. But it never came.
While closing her eyes the door to the room opens before the professor could even say the curse. Sowon hears a familiar voice so she opens her eyes. It was her boyfriend. Draco winks at Sowon making her beam up and release her deep breaths that she was taking in.
Draco hands the professor a bunch of papers before leaning towards his ears and whispering words no one could hear. Professor Carrow points at Sowon with his wand making her close her eyes not wanting to be hit with the curse. "Miss. Wang! Mr. Malfoy needs to speak with you," Carrow says, placing his wand down.
Sowon nods as a response and follows Draco out of the room. Once out of sight of the door crack, Draco takes her by the hand guiding her to an empty closet. Draco quickly locks the door behind them so they're fully alone in the closet.
Before Draco could even speak he's tackled into a hug. Sowon hugs him tightly not wanting to let go anytime soon making Draco chuckle and put his arms around her waist, hugging her tightly. Draco tries to let go but Sowon shakes her head and he notices her body shaking.
"He wanted me to curse the first years-" Sowon says, shivering from her words.
Draco puts his hands on either side of her head, pulling her off his shoulder to look at him, "Is that why he was pointing his wand at you?"
Sowon bites her lips and nods a yes, "Thankfully you got there in time."
Draco nods and smiles before pulling her making into his arms. He pats her hair softly also not wanting to let go of her, "I'm glad I did."
"I'm scared, Draco. I dont wanna be here anymore." Sowon says. Draco closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before taking them out of a hug and places his hands on her shoulders. He stares at her with worry, "You'll get through it, I promise. You're Sowon Wang."
"I know I am," Sowon jokes, trying to lighten the mood. Draco rolls his eyes and pulls her back into a hug.
Sowon hums into his neck, "I wish we could stay like this forever."
"Me too."
