[July 2nd, 4:34 pm]

Tapping their pen on the desk, [reader] looked over at their bulletin board. "Where are you?" They muttered, then a sharp knock came at the door. "Oh wait a minute!" They got up and threw a sheet over the bulletin board.

"Agent, McCoy." A tall man walked into the room, followed by another man. "You're the heroes Fury made a deal on aren't you?"

"Yes, we are." The second man held his hand out and shook theirs. "I'm Sam Wilson-" [reader] sighed and held their hand up. "You're Falcon blah blah blah, and you're Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America." Steve nodded his head slightly. "You have access to our files?" [Reader] rolled their eyes and sat back down on their desk. "Mostly. Most of the things I've read were in museums."

"Anyways we think you know a few things about one of my friends," Steve said, pacing around the room. [Reader] slipped their hand under their desk and pushed a button, said button turned off all the cameras in the room."I'm sorry. May I ask what you are talking about?" Sam got up and stood next to the door as Steve walked closer to me.

"Bucky Barnes, Sharon told me you led an investigation on him which suddenly went cold. You let the people you were working with go and some say you're still working on the investigation." Steve leaned closer and gripped the edge of the desk.

"That investigation ended weeks ago." [reader] shot up and slammed their hand on the desk. "We didn't find anything other than some stuff about HYDRA and some secret stuff about WW2." [Reader] grabbed a file from a drawer in their desk and threw it at Steve. "Everything about that investigation is in there."

[Reader] walked out from behind their desk and shooed Steve and Sam out of the room.

"Goodbye."

[July 2nd, 5:21 pm]

Walking out of their room, [reader] closed the door with a soft click. They turned on their heel and walked down the hallway. Since some corners of the SHIELD building were destroyed in the attacks of winter soldier. "So since that hallway got destroyed, I'll have to go this way."

After changing [Reader] walked outside of the building and made their way to their apartment. "This place is unusually quiet." [Reader] muttered, looking over their shoulder. Then they bumped into someone, jumping back and lifted their hands in a fighting position. Trying to look the man in the eye.

The man was the Winter Soldier.

Or as some know him. Bucky Barnes.

He reacted quickly and grabbed [reader]'s arm and threw them in the alley. "Don't attack me." [Reader] skidded across the ground and grunted. "I've literally been looking for you for months!" They yelled, almost as if they knew him.

Of course, they didn't, they barely remembered his middle name. "Look I don't want to hurt you,"

He walked carefully towards them. "I just want to know something, you know more about me than I know about myself."

"Everything about this is going against my job." [Reader] said sharply. "Plus its confidential information that I wouldn't give an ex HYDRA member. And why am I still talking to you! I should've buzzed in by now!" His eyes widened suddenly and he grabbed their arm, stopping them from getting my pager.

[Reader] looked down at their arm with a panicked expression.

A metal arm had a tight, cold grip on their own. "Fine. What do you want to know." He sighed and released his grip on their arm, letting it fall to his side. "What happened to me during HYDRA? All my memories are just gone, blurred out."

"They erased your memories." [Reader] said without hesitation. He slowly shook his head. "Really?" [Reader] huffed and walked out of the alleyway. "Wait!" He walked out and reached for them. "I already told you what happened. Now leave me alone." They hissed and pushed his chest, sending him a few feet away from them.

[July 2nd, 6:30]

[Reader] sighed. "Landry is just so fun to do." They dropped their laundry basket and started unloading the pile. "Oh [reader]" Sharon smiled and placed her own laundry basket next to theirs. "Agent Sharon." [Reader] leaned down and grabbed their basket. "Why did you tell Steve I led the investigation?" They huffed and looked straight at her. "He asked, [Reader]. And he's hurting. He wants his best friend back." They rolled their eyes and pushed the machine button. "I gave him a file. Most of what I know about Bucky is in there."

[Reader] turned and made their way out of the room.

"Wait!" Sharon walked over and placed a hand on their shoulder. "Steve lives in the apartment above you. I live in the one right next to it. He spends most of his time at the stark tower though."

"Why are you telling me this?" [Reader] narrowed their eyes and looked at Sharon. "I don't know." She smiled tightly. "Maybe if you wanted to question him you'll know where he is."

Once [Reader] got to their room they walked over to the window and opened it, leaning their head out they took a deep breath.

Then they looked down. And there he was.

Good old Bucky Barnes.
