So close, yet so far

Being an idol was hard. But it was never as hard as being in love with somebody who loves being an idol more than they could ever love you.
At least to Jungkook, anyway. He’d spent years dating Taehyung, which he’d call the ‘love of his life’. Something Taehyung liked to call ‘exaggerating’, but never tell it out loud.

It comes as a surprise that they have been dating for years, without any of their fans noticing, nor the media making a rumor out of it. A few ‘ships’ them, a few doesn’t, and the rest has their own female idol representative to ship them to. Jungkook hated it. Not only does he hate the fact that his boyfriend was being partnered to another girl, but also he hated the relief on Taehyung’s face whenever a rumor spreads about him being with somebody else. Jungkook hated it the most.

and his heart aches everytime.
