A/N: Holy crap you guys, the other day this story reached 8,000 reads!! TYSM :) I'M SO FUDGING SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN AGES, BUT I'M GONNA UPDATE REGULARLY AGAIN!

Alice's POV

Adrenaline pumped through my veins faster than a speeding mustang as I bolted into a sprint with my eyes locked on the small fire emerging from the end of the block. Tears began to stream down my face as I continued to run like hell, silently hoping that Asa hadn't been killed in the crash.

"ASA!" I began to scream out his name until my vocal cords burned as the car fire rapidly approaching me began to roar and spit embers across the street. Making my way closer to the scene of the crash, I could make out Asa's dented blue Toyota hugging a light post at the end of the block. The other car had been reduced to a hunk of metal, it's driver crawling out of the wreckage with terror.

A wave of relief washed over me as I spotted Asa bolt from his car to help the man inside of the other vehicle.

At least he was alive.

"Alice!" Asa sceamed, beconing me over to him. "Alice, come help!"

I sprinted over to Asa, who's hand were covered in the man's blood. As i approached him, I noticed a tiny trickle of blood stemming from Asa's ear, but I decided not to point it out as I helped the man out from under his upturned car.

"What shoud we do now?" I asked frantically, my hands shaking with fear as I grabbed the man's torso and inched him out of the wreckage.

"Call 911." Asa replied immediately, a stone cold look on his face. "And tell them that a man has been critically injured, and that's he's on a brink of death."

With trembling fingers and tears spashing on the screen of my phone, I diled the three letters and pressed the phone to my ear, hearing the voice of the 911 operator crackle through the other end of the line.

TIme ticked away as I watched as the clock flashed 2:08 in fluorescent letters. The events of the day were etched into my eyelids, and each time I closed my eyes to rest the scene of the crash played in my head like a horror film. Seeing Asa all bloody and the man's legs crushed to smithereens made me shudder. What started off as a dream come true ended as a nightmare; my time with Asa going dowlhill with each passing day.

As I finally began to doze off and feel my eyelids get heavy, the light from my phone on the nightstand caught my attention. I drowsily ;picked it up and squinted as the brightness stung my eyes. To my surprise the text was from asa. It read: "I'm outside your door. Come quickly."
