The assignment was simple. It was the easiest task for Bakugou to do: get information. It didn't matter how he get it, he just needed to get it. The information was important, it was information about the heroes, specifically the strongest heroes and their weakness.
Luckily, the information holder was a civilian, Bakugou didn't have to threaten or hurt him. At least that's what he thought.
You see, when you're paired with Todoroki and Midoriya, things can get a little hectic.
They started off normal.
They walked into the warehouse, none of the guards were in the hallways at the time, so they just had to walk right to the main office. Midoriya was trusted to be their navigator of the building, Todoroki was there in case things went south and Bakugou...well he was just there.
He didn't really understand what he was supposed to do, he wasn't the strongest or the smartest here, he served no purpose.
They made it to the middle of the warehouse without incident, but to Bakugou that was a little suspicious, if the civilian was so important, why wasn't he protected well? Bakugou didn't want to bring this up at all.
Being ridiculed didn't sound nice right now.
They were all silent in order to not bring attention to themselves, but Todoroki couldn't hold out for long.
"Why didn't Toru want to do this? It makes no sense, she would get in and out easily." Midoriya ignored the questioning of Todoroki, who wasn't bothered by it in the least.
He turned his attention towards Bakugou instead, who immediately noticed the glint in his eyes. "What do you think Kats?" Bakugou was gonna answer but Todoroki interrupted him...as usual. "You know I think it's pretty brave of you to come Kats."
This proclamation got a snort out of Midoriya, "Oh yeah pretty brave of you, you definitely didn't beg to not go." Bakugou let our a sigh and looked down at the ground as they walked.
Todoroki slightly glared at Midoriya but a playful yell contradicted the seriousness he was displaying. "Even if he did beg, it's an improvement from when he hid last time."
This comment made Midoriya laugh out loud, so much so that he had to stop walking in order to get it out. Bakugou looked in between the two as they laughed at the embarrassing memory of his lack of bravery.
Bakugou could feel the slight tears welling up in his eyes, but he tried to will them away, knowing that if he let them fall they would laugh more.
The two young villains continued to laugh at their peers misery, alerting certain people of their presence. Todoroki stopped in front of Bakugou and Midoriya, a serious look coming onto his face.
Bakugou piqued up, curious about what caught Todoroki's attention. "T-Todoroki? W-What's.." "Shh!" Bakugou was instantly shushed by Midoriya. Bakugou realized they both noticed something he couldn't notice.
