AYYYYYY! What up y'all? IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS AND I'M KIND OF FREAKING OUT! Alright, so you get the gist...but let's turn our attention back to the story at hand.
So, have you heard the song by Pentatonix? That's Christmas To Me I believe it's called...
ANYWAYS, I was thinking about how cute of a one-shot it would make, soooo, HERE IS THE ONE-SHOT. ENJOY -Arianna
John's P.O.V
"Hamish! Come in would you please? It's getting dark!" Sherlock calls out the window to our son.
"But-"
"No buts, come in."
"I've got hot chocolate!" I yell, earning a dirty look from Sherlock.
"You can't bribe our son, John."
"Why not? It's Christmas Sher, it's allowed."
The door bangs open, and a snow covered Hamish stumbles into the kitchen. "I'm in!" He says, shaking snow from his boots.
"So I see." Sherlock says, stooping over to plug in the tree lights.
As the small lights spring to life and illuminate the corner where the tree stood, Hamish finished ridding himself of his heavy jacket and boots.
"So where's my hot chocolate?"
"On the counter." I reply, pointing to said coumter where a brightly coloured mug stood.
"Thanks Daddy!" Hamish cries, retrieving the mug and running to the couch to cover himself with a fluffy blanket. He sets his hot chocolate carefully on the end table, and picks up his Harry Potter book, and resumes reading.
"How're you feeling, love?" I say, turning to Sherlock and pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"Better now." He smiles.
I chuckle and hand him his mug of tea. "So this is our Christmas, huh?"
"So it would seem."
I sigh, and Sherlock wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me into him. "I love you." He whispers, kissing the top of my head.
"I love you too." I reply.
As I glance around the room, I took in all the little details. Hamish curled up on the couch reading his book and sipping his hot chocolate, the brightly wrapped presents underneath the Christmas tree, and the cheerful crackle of the fireplace.
Behind Sherlock and I, three candles burned in the window. The entire world seemed at peace. The street was empty apart from a few snowmen outside various flats, ours included.
And I cherished all these simple things, because this is Christmas to me.
