Jack's POV
My uncle remained speechless after I read the letter, many questions exploded inside my head like fireworks.Out of those questions, the first one I asked was:
"Can I go?"I asked nervously.Smooth way to start a conversation in a tense situation. What the hell was I thinking?
"No and don't ask for my reason,"he said.I was sad but willingly accepted what he said because I didn't want to upset anybody.Furthermore,I didn't want to be a burden.
I went up to my room and stared outside through the window. The kids were playing and having a fun time.I tried to smile but the sadness did not seem to go away.I put on my hood and sighed.I could feel my hands were starting to feel cold but I didn't bother.I touched the window while still gazing at the kids. The cold feeling seemed to fade and I could hear the glass crackle.
I was shocked to find that the glass was covered in frost. What was going on?I lost my balance and toppled on the floor. Was that me or was there some evil demon in the house?I began to panic and took in deep breaths to make things easier. In order to calm myself,I went outside through the window.I would be able to bear the scolding from my Aunt and Uncle,it was for the best of me anyways. I sat on a bench near the side walk and was trying to calm myself by inhaling the fresh air.
I began to feel at ease again and sighed heavily.I looked around my surroundings and my eyes caught a book store at the end of the street.Maybe reading a book might even help me more.
I walked there without any tension because there were no kids in sight. If they saw me then things would have been a ruckus.I reached near the book store was about to make my way in. Suddenly a girl came out through the door with a pile of books. We bumped into each other and she lost her balance.
The books fell from her hands and she shrieked but i managed to catch her."You okay?"I asked.
"Ye-Yeah,"she stuttered."I'm so sorry,I couldn't see you."I could observe her face and features clearly. She had platinum blonde hair and her eyes were as blue as the azure sky which brought a feeling of innocence if one were to gaze at them.
She is pretty.Wait,what?
"It's no biggie,"I laughed nervously.I picked up the books."Quite alot of books huh?"
She nodded."New books had arrived so I thought it was a good idea to buy them before hand,"she said nervously.
"You're gonna have trouble carrying them alone.Let me help you,"I say and she immediately shakes her head."Its fine.I ca-"
"Where do you live?"I cut her off with a smile and she knew that she couldn't change my mind. She sighed.
"107th street."I nodded and we began to walk.
"Oh,I'm Jack by the way.Jack Frost."
"Elsa Arendelle.Nice to meet you Jack,"she smiled broadly.
