Chapter One: Understanding

Once again, this is for fun purposes only. But also because some people need another book to read 🙈 - E

When the news reporters had talked about the George Floyd situation, they went on to explain that civilians were protesting on the street. So far, no one has been hurt by police, just peaceful. But according to some videos, policemen were throwing tear gas at the protesters to get them away.

Of course, as a hacktivist myself, I knew that Anonymous would come out of the shadows and give the Minneapolis Police Department a piece of their mind. It would only be a matter of days before it happens.

My laptop beeped (excuse this part, I don't know much about coding or hacking), signalling that it had found something important. I groaned a little before getting up. It was pretty dark in here.

I had put photographs of my friends and I on my wall. Fairy lights, yes, I have fairy lights because of TikTok, danced around my room. A tv stand stood in the corner, displaying many codes to me. I had been trying to track down at least one Anonymous member, but so far I have come up with not one thing.

I remember spending days, wasting hours learning how to track down people. I used my friend, Naomi, and tracked her down the first time I learnt. With permission, obviously.

But this isn't my point. The Black Lives Matter protests are getting more out of hand. Some undercover cops have begun to smash windows and steal to make protesters look awful. The news make it look pretty convincing.

Another beep interrupted me from my thoughts. Moving off my comfortable bed, calling for me to go back to sleep, I opened my laptop fully and scanned what was wrong.

I gasped. Instead of showing codes like my laptop always has, it had opened an email from 'Anonymous.' Maybe it was another hacker? Scanning the email, it read:

Dear Y/n,

We are aware of what you are doing. Stop before you get yourself in the middle of battle. We do not need your help. We do not want to be found. Respect what we are doing for you and the world. However, things change over time. If you really want to help, click the link below. If you don't, that's fine.

I didn't want to click on the link. But I could make a difference in the world.

Before we speed in time, I want to say that a few weeks ago I found some government documents that had been hidden from the public. It issued that the President wanted to enforce martial law if things were to get any harder for the cops.

During this document, it had issued that if governors wouldn't allow National Guard into their state, they would be put in by force.

Finally, after some thinking, I click on the link. It brought up another page, leading me to a new tab that showed many things. And what I found, what astonishing.

Cliffhanger... Yay! Anyway, I'll be sure to post another chapter maybe during the day, and another two tomorrow. This one may be short, but I promise this is only a beginning to understand what is happening. If it is confusing please let me know in anyway possible. Anyway, peace out. ✌️
