She crouched under the expensive rosewood table as the sainik passed by on his usual guarding stroll. The smooth finishing of the table felt cold against her skin. Once the sainik's back was towards her, she stealthily crept behind the pink curtain. Even the smallest noise could alert the whole security system of the palace. Kamini wasn't someone who would take such a risk of sneaking into the palace of who people believe was the most powerful man born as a human. Her love was all she had. Her love, was what gave her the courage.
Roaming around creeping behind guards for what felt like hours she finally found his room. The king. The mighty King Prasth. The love of her life. She sneaked into his room and hid behind a large vase. She peeked from the side of the vase and saw him. His large figure loomed over a table. His back turned towards her. He seemed to be whispering something to himself. It took Kamini a few seconds to realize that he was talking to his sword. His hathyar of justice. The blood on the sword belong to the evils from 5 centuries back when his forefathers killed the king is Agnipur, to capture this land. Kamini stared at him with pure admiration. She had heard stories of his bravery and ways of justice since her childhood. When the king was just a prince maybe 16, he single handedly marched his magnificent army into the battle with the king of Agnipur to free it's citizen from the cruelty of their king. The brave king Prasth was in front of her. Her heart raced a million miles per second. She wondered how lucky a girl would have to be to, to spend the rest of her life in his protective hands. To serve him and to make him happy everyday. How lucky was her sister for she was talked to be his bride....
As she stared at him, she felt a arm grab her from behind and forced her to the ground. Her head pressed against the ground as she witnessed the king quietly get up from his chair and walk towards her. His sword wielded in his powerful hand. She stared at him with a mixture of what she believed was butterflies in stomach drowning in the rain. "Sit her up! Let me see this intruders face who gathered the guts to sneak into my private chamber". The sainik forced her to sit up. She sat with her knees to the ground crouched like a criminal. "I would never hurt a woman, for they are believed to be the sustainers of nature. How clever of my nemesis to send one of them to spy on me" he said as he laughed. "Who do you work for young lady? I will never hurt you but I could promise you a life here in my Kingdom if you tell me who sent you, or I will send you back to your king and have him deal with you when you go back with no information".
