Chloe's POV

Chloe sighed as Lucifer basically charged into the building calling out his usual "Detective!" as he walked forward and neared her desk. This was going to be a long day for the detective.
“What is it Lucifer?”

“I was wondering if any new bodies have appeared, I'm quite bored”
“We bring justice for innocent people, we do not cure boredom for club owners”

Chloe got up and handed him a file, she grabbed her keys and started walking towards the entrance of the station.
“New body at an electronics store on Margot Street”

The two walked into the store ducking under the police tape, they saw Ella taking photos of the body.

“Hey Ella, who's the vic?”
The girl taking photos looked up at them with obvious pity for the dead teenager.
“Amelia Williamson. One bullet straight through the heart, poor girl”

Chloe surveyed the area, there were two other workers standing there looking scared. The male appearing to be a basic worker like Amelia looked about the same age while the other female with manager on her uniform looked about twenty something.

“Have those two been interviewed yet?”
Chloe gestured towards the employees and Ella shook her head before talking to another forensic scientist looking at the body.

The detective walked to the two with Lucifer following close behind. She silently prayed that the devil impersonator wouldn't make this case all about him. She held her hand out to the manager.
“Hi, I'm Detective Decker, this is my consultant Lucifer Morningstar, can I ask you a few questions?”

The girl shook her hand and gestured to herself and the other worker.
“I'm Hayley Woods and this is Marcus Dorsey, ask away”

“What time would Amelia arrive at work and what time would she leave?”
“Axe would always get here at about 7:10 and leave at 8:40”
Chloe nodded and wrote down that Axe was her commonly used nickname.
“Okay, did she show any signs of panic yesterday?”
“Well actually, Axe used they/them pronouns and they were being stalked by some transphobe for a week”

Chloe stopped writing and looked back at Hayley and Marcus, they had sad expressions and regret lingered in their eyes.
“Why didn't they file a report?”

Chloe met Hayley's eyes.
“They did but the cop they talked to said that it was justified since Axe was a monster. We offered our help to hang around them more to make sure they stayed safe but Axe liked being alone”

The detective groaned when Lucifer opened his mouth, this was not a case that could deal with his annoying-ness.
“So you're saying that she changed her gender and some man decided to stalk her, are you sure it wasn't some sexual favour or something?”

Hayley looked back at Chloe ignoring the ignorant male.
“Their usual hours would have had them home yesterday but I had to talk to my ex so I asked them to close up”

“Alright, I'm going to have to confirm your alibi so can I have your ex's name? We'll need to bring him into the precinct”
Chloe saw the hesitance in Hayley's eyes and started wondering, but as soon as she got the name she realised it was for another reason.
“Samantha West”

The detective grimaced hearing Lucifer laugh.
“I'll never understand the fear some of you humans have with the matter of sexuality and such”

Hayley looked at him defiantly.
“Look at what happened to Axe, that's the reason we hide”

Chloe almost laughed at the utterly shocked expression on Lucifer's face. What a stupid man, assuming that homophobes and transphobes had better things to do when in reality it's like they didn't have their own lives if all they seemed to care about was what genitals people had and how the opposite gender was totally the only kind of person you should love.

“Come on Lucifer, we have to get back to the precinct”

I know it's bad but I tried, I hope you like this. Sorry for making Lucifer an insufferable idiot. The others like Dan and Maze are gonna come in but not in this chapter. The romance between Ella and Hayley will come in later.
