A feeling of Unease

The dorm is quiet. Everyone has gone to bed it seems, even the ones that stay up well past the bedtime set by U.A. You force your eyes shut and sigh. Now you're alone with your thoughts you're not sure volunteering as a student chaperone on that year one school trip was the best idea you've ever had. But you needed the extra credits or Midnight would've failed you. You force your eyes shut and try hold on to sleep but it seems to only be drifting further and further away from you.

After a few more minutes of silent pondering you let out an exasperated sigh of defeat and swing your legs over the side of the bed. A glance at your alarm tells you it's well past 2 am and you're supposed to be awake by 6 tomorrow to get on that bus. Your hair is messy and you can basically feel the bags burning under your eyes. Sleep has never been your friend but you don't know why it has decide to evade you indefinitely tonight. "I'll just go get a glass of water and clear my head." You murmur to yourself as you push yourself out of bed and slide into the slippers you stall besides the door. The dorm is quiet and dark, you can hear faint snoring coming from a few directions but that isn't new either. You know for a fact Nejire snores like a freight truck when she's especially exhausted after training.

Your slippers thankfully don't make a sound as you creep down the hall to the bathroom. You fill a plastic cup you took from your room with water and start heading towards the stairs when a shadow catches your eye through the window at the end of the hall. You whip your head around with trained speed but the shadow is no where to be found. The hair in the back of you neck stands up straight and you can't seem to shake the feeling that something is wrong. But what could be wrong? This is U.A., there's a wall and guards and trained professionals everywhere. You shake your head trying to shake the feeling of unease as you head down the stairs.

The cool night air feels good on your skin as you sit outside on the steps to your dorm. Goosebumps still cover your body but the feeling of unease ebbs away with the flow of the wind softly hitting you. It's spring time and the flowers around the school grounds have started to blossom in the most beautiful fashion. Suddenly the feeling of being watched returns tenfold. This time however you're not sure where it's coming from. You tighten your grip on the plastic cup in your hand making it crinkle and try focus on the presence but it's too faint, too fleeting. And just as soon as you felt it, the feeling disappears. Ebbed away with the wind. "Tonight might not be a good day to sit outside." You say to no one in particular as you get up from the steps and wrap your arms around yourself. Maybe it's time to try catch the little sleep we have left.

Your alarm starts blearing in your ear at exactly 5:30 am. You tossed and turned for a little after returning to bed last night but sleep found you soon after. Yet, that still means you slept for less than 4 hours and you can feel it. At least the dorm around you isn't as sleepy anymore. You're not the only student waking up at 5 am, many go to training in the early morning hours to catch the first strains of daylight with the sun coming up. You however, have never been much of a morning person. You prefer trying to catch your privacy on the training grounds late at night when everyone else has gone to bed. Especially since you're studying to be more of an undercover hero, the cover of darkness usually makes you feel more at ease. Usually, but not last night.

In your dreams the anxiety you felt before going to bed materialized. You saw bright blue eyes in the darkness, someone called your name. Before everything around you burned and you woke overheating. You throw the covers on the floor as you roll out of bed. You packed last night thankfully, so all you'll have to do is take a shower and maybe try force something down before heading to the courtyard where the bus will be waiting.

On your way to the shower you bump into Tamaki, stalking the down the hall covering himself in his blankets. "What the hell are you doing up at this hour?'' You ask rubbing the back of your head trying to smooth out your hair. "Mirio really wanted me to come to training with him.." He mutters at a volume barely audible. You chuckle. "Must be nice to have someone that pulls you out of bed, the only thing I've got going for me is my failing grade" Tamaki doesn't smile often but you notice the corners of his mouth curling up ever so slightly. "Well, at least you've got something fun to do for the next few days.." He starts moving past me and I let him, no use trying to keep Tamaki in a conversation past his comfort zone. As a hero he is brilliant but as a friend, he tries his best.

"Fun is a strong word Tamaki, but I'll see you in a few days." you move slighty right to let him pass and watch as he waves over his shoulder. you rub your eyes and yawn as you continue making your way to the shower.

It's only 20 minutes later when you're hauling your duffel bag around campus towards the bus. You should be 10 minutes early and the pro's will enjoy that. Punctuality is a big thing, for most of them at least. Eraser head is already standing by the bus, almost entirely wrapped in yellow sleeping bag, trying to push his bag into the baggage hold of the bus. The bags under his eyes are deeper than yours. They look purple and painful. "Aizawa sir, can I assist you with that?" You chuckle as the grumpy teacher fixes his eyes on you. "Ah, (y/n), you're early." He hands you the duffel bag and slumps onto the ground wrapping himself in the sleeping bag. "Always early sir." You mutter as you reach out and push his duffel bag into the corner, adding yours quickly after. "Wasn't sir Kan supposed to be here too?" You ask aiming your question at Aizawa without looking at him. He doesn't respond at first so you back out of the baggage compartment of the bus and turn to him.

Looks like he dozed off huh. You chuckle. A cold gust of wind floats around you, sudden and hard making you shiver. You try not to think of the feeling you had last night as you nudge Aizawa's foot to wake him. "Sir, are you still in there." With a shock Aizawa sits up and grumbles. "Ah yes, Sekijiro was supposed to be here, but in the end we decided to put the students on different busses for safety reasons. You will be traveling with me, as you're already here. Nemuri did not inform you of this." It sounded like a it was supposed to be a question, but considering you both know Midnight, it definitely wasn't.

"I'm okay with that." You brush your hand through your hair, messing it up a little. You're wearing your hero's costume, as Midnight instructed. It's comfortable of course but a little revealing as it's mostly skintight, to stay stealthy, with protectors on your knees and elbows to protect you from possible impact. Your fingerless gloves don't help much for warmth either. But staying warm wouldn't be a problem, if it wasn't for those random gusts of cold wind.

You lean against the bus next to where Aizawa is sitting. The silence is comfortable but seems endless, till you finally see the first students appear in the distance. It looks like they all left together so that's a plus. You gather more than a few stares as the students reach the bus, halting in a half circle around you and Aizawa. "Class, this is (y/n), also known as the seamstress. She's from class 3A and will be accompanying us on the trip as extra security." You don't say much as the class looks at you. Some of them wave at you awkwardly. "You guys, can just call me (y/n)." You watch Aizawa turn around and head into the bus. "But honestly, I'm on this trip because I'm failing and I needed some extra credit to pass. You're all perfectly safe don't worry." You add to your story in a tone that's barely more than a whisper so Aizawa doesn't hear and wink at a small girl with shoulder length brown hair at the front of the group. She giggles, as do some others.

"Nice to meet you (y/n), my name is Lida Tenya and I am the class representative." A tall boy with dark hair rushes forward to bow to you. You wave you hand at him dismissively, he is almost a head taller than you. "Now, now Lida. No need for all these formalities." You respond smiling. You raise your voice and say. "I'm sure we're all going to have a great few days together. Now get your bags in that trunk and your butts on that bus before Aizawa kills us all." Movement starts and you hear a few students laugh as you turn to enter the bus.
