1~  James David Rodríguez Rubio was born in Cucuta on July 12, 1992 to Wilson James Rodriguez, also a professional soccer player and Maria de Pilar Rubio

2~ Despite his age, James is known for his maturify of the field, distant from any scandals. He has been married since 2011 to Daniela Ospina Ramirez, the younger sister of national team goalkeeper David Ospina, falling in love with her despite at first communicating only through phone and internet

3~ Although they are a young couple, James and Daniela are already the parents to Salome Rodriguez Ospina, born in Medellin in May 2011. The player has his daughter's name tattooed on his right arm and celebrates his goals kissing it
