The Boys, the Elevator and The Girl

Part 1: The Boys

You watched the elevator counter as it went backwards until finally the number came down to where you were: floor 1. 

With a familiar ding, the door opened.

You made a move to walk in but paused at the amount of people already filling the cramped space. Would you have to wait for another elevator? It looked far too cramped as it was. However after a moment, most of the people got off, making their way to the exit.

A young man with black hair with a  green stripe in the middle, pushed up his glasses, breathing a sigh of relief as everyone exit. Once the elevator was basically empty did you enter.

"Where are they?" You heard him mutter as you passed each other. 

Him getting out and you getting in.

You wouldn't have paid him any more mind as you pressed the button for floor 10 except suddenly a hand caught the door before it fully closed. You heard a shout that sounded like Hyung. The door opened automatically and you saw that it was the boy from the crowd. He was beckoning to someone to hurry and you heard a jog as it got closer.

The boy who was in the crowd entered the elevator followed by three more boys, a boy with an umbrella, a boy with a pizza box and a boy with just a cardboard box.

You had lived in DayDream Apartments for the last year but you had never seen any of these men before. However that didn't matter a whole lot. There was no way you could know everyone. DayDream Apartments had 12 floors with 8 apartments per floor. You do the math!

The boy holding a cardboard box, with light brown ramen hair sighed, "Just in time!" He set the box on the ground and flexed his wrists.

"Barely!" The boy who was in the crowd snorted, " You're late! Someone press floor 12!"

Pizza boy gave you a small smile as he turned before pressing the button for floor 12. 

You returned it.

"Hyung, at least we're here!", the former whined.

The boy dressed in what looked like a green dress suit holding a red umbrella shrugged, "And what do you mean late? We just would have taken the next available elevator."

The Pizza boy spoke then, "Either way, I had to wait an extra minute to get this pizza." He lifted the box for emphasis.

You couldn't help the automatic sniff on your part, "Not to mention traffic but we're here and we will have a good time. No need to be upset!"

He gave a laugh and the boy with the box agreed.

"So, anyone else here yet?" Boy with an umbrella inquired as the door dinged on floor 4.

'Hm, someone must be going up', You thought absently as the elevator stopped.

The boy who was in the crowd answered as the doors were opening, "Taeyong Hyung and Mark-ah are here, on time...."

You were pretty sure someone was going to address his stress on "on time..." but when the doors parted, the boy who was in the crowd gestured forward and asked, "What are you doing on floor 4?"

A lone boy with blond hair and strips of blue only raised an eyebrow, "Not being one floor 1."

The boy with a box giggled. Your own mouth quirked as you pretended to be interested in the buttons. This was shaping up to be an interesting elevator ride. It wasn't that you were trying to listen but it's not that you could help that either.

The boy who was in the crowd gave a sigh, "Do you know where everyone else is? Or is it just you?"

The lone boy stood in the doorway so it wouldn't close, "Coming." He answered looking down the hall.

Soon two more boys entered the elevator. One holding a plant and another holding a bag of...baguettes?

The boy with baguettes gave a wide smile, "Sorry Hyung. Mrs. Kim was having trouble lugging her garbage out so we helped her." He held up the bag, "Then she wanted to thank us so she gave us these."

"Extra food! Can't complain!" the boy who had the box grinned.

Pizza boy also grinned, "Can't argue there. It will get eaten sooner or later."

The boy who was in the crowd nodded his head, "And the plant?"

The boy with the plant smiled, "Housewarming gift for you."

That was the first time you saw the boy who was in the crowd give a pleased look. So they were new in the building? Interesting. And he liked plants?

"Ugh that smells so good, Hyung!" the boy with the box almost looked like he was going to start salivating in a minute.

Though you couldn't blame him. It did smell good.

Pizza boy held the box away from him and gave a light growl, "Boy control yourself! You are not a child!"

"Yet, he acts like it", the boy who was in the crowd mumbled.

Didn't take long for him to start grousing again you saw.

You glanced at the counter that read floor 9 when suddenly the elevator gave a grind, making you hold onto the railing before you could fall. The light flickered off and on once and suddenly the elevator stopped.
