Pain and comfort.

Hermione's pov.
Today was our trip to Hogsmeade. I can't wait for my date with Ron there.
I got out of bed and changed noticing I was the last one in our dorms. I headed down to the common room looking for Ron but only found Harry. I asked harry where Ron was and he told me he went to myrtles bathroom because he had a note telling him to meet someone in there. I started heading to the bathroom then walked inside. What I saw in the bathroom was Ron snogging lavender brown. Feeling my presence ron turned to look at me then jumped away from lavender. " Hermione, wait it's not what it looks like I swear" he said. I didn't reply I just ran out crying hearing Ron give chase. I was heading  back towards the common room when I bumped into someone. It was our friend y/n. He started to apologise when he saw me still crying. He didn't say anything and he just hugged me. I sat there holding back onto him when Ron finally caught up. "Hermione wait I'm really sorry. It meant nothing, I love you and only you I swear." I just didn't reply still holding onto y/n crying. Y/n between me and Ron and spoke up in a dangerous voice. " Ron im gonna give you 10 seconds to start explaining yourself right now". Ron gulped then told him what happened.y/n stiffened the looked at me with soft eyes telling me to head back to the common room and that he will be there soon. I nodded then left.

Your pov

I stood there watching hermione leave then turned to the fucking weasel. "Why?" I growled out. It was short and simple yet he was stuttering like a dumbass. "Why?" I shouted. He finally spoke up and said " I have my reasons now fuck off." He tried to walk towards his common room to talk with hermione but I had other plans. I grabbed his shoulder turning him around and planted a quick fist to the jaw. He stumbled then fell and I got on top of him and hit him again. I hit him three more times before dragging him off to mcgonagall and told what I did and why. She gave him detention then sent me to Snape. I got off with a warning from him because he didn't want to have to take points from Slytherin. I headed to the gryffindor common room, told the fat lady the password and entered. I saw hermione just sitting on an armchair still crying her eyes out. It was shattering. I walked over to her and sat next to her pulling her head into my chest. She sat in my arms crying before falling to sleep. 30 minutes later and everyone is gone to Hogsmeade. I told mcgonagall we were staying and why.i say there stroking Hermione's hair when I felt her shift and wake up.  She mumbled but the only thing I could make out was her saying Ron's name. It broke me because I fancy her you see. I always have. Ever since our first year she has been the best person I have ever met. She was there for me when I needed her and I was there for her.
*Flash back to when you first met hermione*

I was walking through the hall when I saw a red head whispering to Potter. And what he said must have been about this bushy haired girl since she started crying and running away. I smacked him in the back of the head then gave chase to the girl. We arrived to a bathroom that I've heard was haunted so no one used it. I walked inside hearing her sniffling. I knocked on the door calling out to her. She didn't answer. I say down on the other side of the door and said "hey are you ok? Can you come out please. My name is y/n l/n what's your name?". She didn't say anything but she did open the door and looked at me with a quivering lip and tear filled eyes. I smiled at her holding out my hand for her to take. She grabbed it and I led her to the sink before lifting her up making her squeak and then I sat her on the sink.  I grabbed a paper towel getting it wet then dabbed at her cheeks so they didn't have tear stains anymore. She looked at me smiling sadly and I smiled back and asked for her name again softly. she told me her name and thanked me for checking up on her. I asked her the reason why she ran in here and she told me what the red head said. We sat there for a while before I heard the door crash open and saw a mountain troll walk in. I picked up Hermione and locked her into the stall before pulling out my wand casting different spells on in. I sat there battling the troll for a solid 5 minutes before potter and the red head came in with harry jumping on the trolls back shoving his wand in its nose.  Causing it to drop it's club. The read head casted wingardium leviosa on the club dropping it on the trolls head. After the troll was knocked out I hugged Hermione close to me as she was now crying really hard in fear and with the fact that the red head is in here. I glared at him holding Hermione close to me as mcgonagall and Snape rushed in and asked what happened. Hermione was about to say something when I spoke up" it's my fault professors. I saw hermione walk in her then the troll follow her so I rushed in to help her and the other 2 must have seen me and ran to help. I'm sorry but if anything please only punish me." Mcgonagall looked at me shocked as to why I was trying to be nice since I'm in Slytherin. "10 points from Slytherin for being reckless. But 15 points to Slytherin for self sacrifice and moral fibre." She announced. " 10 points from gryffindor for recklessness. But 5 points to each of you for sheer dumb luck" she stated before huffing and storming out with Snape following.
