Kami awoke, her eyes slowly opened as the sunlight broke through her blinds, slim lines of light pierced her room. The young girl rubbed her eyes and let out a yawn. She threw away the covers and sat up on the edge of her bed. Kami grasped her phone and turned it on, checking the time. '06:34'. She set her phone down, just next to her pillow. She lifted herself off the bed and stood up, streching her arms out above her head. Kami threw off her sleeping wear and tossed on her uniform, grabbing her phone. She started the short walk to work.
Kami was working her regular 07:00-03:00 shift, recently she had been doing overtime to try and get a raise. Meanwhile Brey, the manager of the Burger King restaurant was in her office, doing some paperwork for the store. After a few hours of work, Kami had earned her break. The young girl marched down to the managers office and stood outside, Kami was nervous and was overthinking this encounter. After a few minutes of overthinking the girl had mustered up the courage to enter her office.
