After the Heroes of Olympus took down Gaea and her Giants, the world was at peace. However, as history shows, peace is always temporary. The Olympic gods went to war with themselves. Greed took over Zeus and he quickly took up arms against the other gods. The war nearly destroyed not only humanity and the natural world, but the gods them self. Chaos reset the world to hopefully bring balance to the world once more. However at this point of the war, demigods made up half of the population while the other half was made of regular humans, who lost countless lives. For the gods cause Gaea herself to literally tear herself apart. Changing the continent's creating new and larger land masses. Only leaving a fraction of land for cities. Chaos created a world where the powers of demigods were limited to the basic four elements. Each one depending on what nation their God parent sided with. Zeus during his takeover aligned himself with Hades despite there differences and Zeus knew he would need the help of Hades underworld creatures. Zeus also worked with Apollo, and Ares and oversaw the Fire Nation. Poseidon ruled the Water and he was aligned with Aphrodite, and Artemis. The element of air landed in the hands of Athena, Hermes, and Hestia. And finally Earth was given to Hera who left her husband for she was sick of how her husband slaughtered the people on earth. She always thought of mortals life as expendable, but as her dream of gods ruling over mortals with an iron fist came to fruition, the death and suffering of not only the humans and demigods, but the world itself was too much for her to bare. So she betrayed Zeus and sided with Hephaestus, Demeter, and Dionysus. The Fire and Earth nations' gods and goddesses battled in a never war that even made its way into the new world, the hatred of the two sides was far to strong for even Chaos, one of the primordial gods, to contain. The Water Tribe supported the Earth Kingdom in there fight against the towering Fire Nation. The Air gods however tried their best to remain neutral. The years of senseless wars between the gods caused Athena to strip herself as a goddess of war and focused on the gathering of knowledge and saw over the Air Nomads directly.

This was a strange new world. Memories of those humans and demigods were erased and began a new. New lives, memories, friends, everything. They were ripped of there title as a Demigod and Chaos created Human counterparts who acted as their children's parent. Each demigod had a father or mother that was specifically tailored to their godly parent.

This is where we meet Percy Jackson. Prince of the Southern Water Tribe. His mother was a chief. The small tribe consisted of mostly children and women. His father left to fight the fire nation and took every man who was of age to fight for the Southern tribe. Percy was the only male who was too young to raise a sword. So his father and the rest of the men of the tribe left. Leaving Percy behind to protect the tribe.

As the years past, he found out he was a water bender. In fact, he was the only one left in the Southern Water Tribe. The rest were slaughtered by the fire nation. Percy was a natural warrior. He used his fathers sword that he gave him so many years ago. The sword was a symbol of power for the tribe. It was to be wielded by the Chief. While his mother currently served as the current Chief, it was only a matter of time before he took on the mantle. So he trained. His dark steel blade with a bone carved hand guard of a wolf. The pommel was of a steel emblem of a trident. In years of self training, he became a master swordsman. But as he reached the age of 16 he soon learned that he was a water bender. One night he was hunting for the tribe and a storm sent his boat into the deep depths of the ocean. As he was thrashed into the freezing water he thought it was the end. Until he felt his body rush to the surface, his eyes were closed, but as he opened them he saw his body held above the water by a cyclone. He was shocked at first, for he has never showed the promise of being a water bender. He has only heard stories of the water bending feats being accomplished by past generations of water benders. However, there was a part inside of himself that drew him to water. It was as if the ancient spirits were calling him to the ocean. Though Percy was ecstatic find out about his new found skills, he knew he would never become a water bending master. If he were to do that he would have to travel to the Northern Tribe. And since he was the only male warrior left at the South Pole, if he were to leave, the village would be defenseless. So he kept his water bending a secret. From the village, his mother, everyone. He attempted to train in the moonlight. It was a full moon tonight and Percy once heard that the full moon gave power to the water benders.

He didn't know if he could even make the water ripple. The cyclone was a freak accident. He swung his arms ferociously. Trying every possible movement just to get the water to bend. He looked at the moon. It's light shined brilliantly against the clear blue ocean. Percy watched as the waves rocked against the icy shore. Back and forth in a continuous push and pull motion. Push and pull...

Percy raised his arm, he rocked back and fourth staring intently at the water below him. He tried to imagine as if he could project his energy to the water. Causing it to move. He continued to do this until he felt one with the water. And as he opened his  eyes. A wave around five feet taller than the rest of the waves followed his arms every moment. Percy let the wave drop. As the water settled he took a step back and took a deep breath. He took a fighting stance with one arm at his side while the other out. He imagine me as if he was grabbing the and forcing it to levitate in front of himself. As he went through the motions, the water obeyed. He tightened his grip and slashed his arm in the direction of a near by mound of ice, the water cut the pillar in half like a hot knife. Out of joy of his new found control of the element. He yelled in excitement and punched his two arms in the air, as he did so, a large geyser bursted through the surface level of the water and shot into the sky. At first he was astonished, but he soon realized that he made a mistake. On the distant horizon he could make out a small steel looking shape in the distance. Black smoke slowly rose out of the ship. The black smoke sent shivers down his spine. He knew what the shape was. The fire nation. He hoped that maybe for some reason they didn't see the towering pillar of water that shot into the air. He watched the ship like a hawk, hoping it wouldn't turn this way. But as the ship got larger and larger. He knew it's was a matter of hours before the fire nation would attack.
