Hoseok narrows his eyes into slits as he watched Taehyung and Jungkook pull away from the mansion through a window upstairs.

They twinkle with intrigue as he thinks of what he saw the night of the engagement party. The loaded glance between the two as they passed in the hall told Hoseok more than they probably even considered.

There were many ways that he could twist this predicament and use it to his advantage, but there were also ways that it could make things more complicated for him.

So since the party, Hoseok decided to keep what he saw to himself.

He even decided to turn a blind eye when he saw  Yun Yeong sneaking away in her car an hour or so after Taehyung left, finding it more entertaining to bide his time.

He would remain silent.

For now.

A soft knock brings Yoongi's attention from something on his monitor, gazing up to see Hoseok opening the tall doors to poke his head into the study.

"Mr.Min?" he says cautiously.

"Come in Hoseok." he waves him in, tapping at the keyboard a few times before pushing himself away from the computer.

Hoseok enters.

"I couldn't help but notice Kim Taehyung's car pulling out of the driveway. Was he here on business or..." He hovers near the doorway, pointing over his shoulder, his eyes falling on the two hefty duffel totes in the middle of the mahogany desk.

"Well yes and no...." Yoongi stands and walks around the edge of his desk.

"He came here to end our business arrangement. Temporarily. Brought me our portion of this month's profit and a bit extra."

Hoseok rears his head back and smirks.

"And you allowed him to?"

Yoongi shrugs at the question as Hoseok walks over to the unzipped bags stuffed with tightly wrapped stacks of cash. Hoseok picks a band and thumbs through it.

"I let him think I did. " He snorts, leaning back to sit at the edge of the desk and watching Hoseok examine the money.

"But I'd like to think that he knows better than to think ending something like this is as simple as that." Yoongi quirks a brow.

"Naturally. " Hoseok lifts his brows as he sat the stack of cashback with the rest.

" But did he give you any reason why?" he shoots his boss a sideways glance.

Yoongi was staring straight ahead, his jaw tense as he pined over Taehyungs exact words.

"Said something about the streets being too hot. American terms, you know. " Yoongi scrunches his nose and waves his hand dismissively.

"Right." Hoseok nods, turning around to perch himself on the desk's edge like Yoongi, and begins scanning the grand interior of the office as he too found himself in a wormhole of thoughts. Tiny puzzle pieces scattered in his mind but slowly they begin to fit, one piece at a time.

A silent lull falls between them and Yoongi sighs, his face falling into a conflicted scowl.

"He's hiding something. I can feel it. " he clicks his tongue.

Another puzzle piece slides and slots itself in between two others, forming a piece of an image and suddenly a light bulb goes off in Hoseok's brain.

Yoongi looks over at Hoseok, probably feeling the heat flowing off of him as he plotted silently.
