Chapter 1: Help

Y/n POV:
Finally, another day finished. People still stepped on my tail though... I hate high school. On top of everything, I can see demons but when I try to tell people about it, they think I'm crazy. Suddenly, I stumbled over something and looked behind me to see a hobgoblin. Well, crap. I try to ignore the demon and go on my way, but it won't leave me alone. Guess it knows that I saw it. Just then, I see a ghoul. Now I get it. The hobgoblin was trying to warn me. It's too late to run now, it already saw me. Crap! How did this happen?! Just when I squeeze my eyes shut thinking that I'm going to die, I hear a yell and open my eyes. I'm surprised by what I see. A boy surrounded by blue flames with a Koma sword in his hand, the ghoul already dead. The boy sheathed the sword and the flames disappeared. The son of Satan?! What have I gotten myself into? I clear my throat to get his attention and he looks at me. "Thanks for saving me. I'm y/n, what's your name?" What the hell am I doing?! I can't just talk to the son of Satan, and how am I not afraid of this guy?! The boy smiles and says "I'm Rin Okumara! Oh, and you're welcome y/n." Then someone else yells. "RIN!" Another boy runs up to me and Rin. This boy has glasses and an exorcist uniform. This is perfect! Maybe I can transfer to True Cross Academy! The boy starts talking to Rin. "Rin, how many times have I told you not to run off. Not to mention you killed a ghoul that I had to kill." Rin rolls his eyes and says, "Shut it four eyes! I figured someone was in danger and I was right!" He gestures over to me and I speak up. "It's true, sir. If not for him I probably would've been killed by that demon." Some people in the street recognize me. Oh no. "I should probably go, I have a lot of studying to d-" The people who recognized me interrupt. "Hey, look, it's the craziest girl in school who says she can see demons. What are doing, y/n? Are you going to wannabe exorcists for help?" That's when I lose my temper. I punch the person in the face and pin them to the ground with my foot, my ears twitching. "They are not wannabes, and don't you dare try to make fun of them while making fun of me! You can make fun of me all you want, but you will give exorcists the respect and acknowledgement they deserve!" I remove my foot and walk away. The boy with the glasses stops me though. "Wait. How would you like to transfer to True Cross Academy?" My eyes sparkle and I get a huge smile on my face. "I would love that!"
