On a sunny afternoon in London on May 3 1971 the BEATLES met for the first time since September 1970 at ABBY ROAD to decide on the future of the band and of APPLE.

It was decided that the band was ready to begin recording a new studio album.

But a few issues needed to be worked on before any future plans were made.

George Harrison demanded that he would have the same amount of songs on any new Beatles album.

It became clear that his songs were just as strong as any Lennon or MCcartney music written.

It was agreed that each of the three would have 4 songs each.

Ringo Starr would get two.

EMI agreed that the album would be a APPLE recording.

Again it was talked about from McCartney on doing some tipe of live show or shows.

Recording began on June 1 1971.
