SIX MONTHS EARLIER
"Camz?" the raven-haired woman opened the front door peering round, "it's only me."
She was met with silence.
That's strange, she thought, the two best friends had plans for dinner today as they always did on a Saturday, and Camila was usually bouncing around running late, as usual.
A small smile graced Lauren's lips as she thought of the brunette's goofy ways. That smile soon turned to a confused frown when she heard groaning from upstairs.
Tentatively, Lauren made her way up the younger woman's stairs.
"Ugh" she heard, speeding up Lauren stood outside Camila's bedroom listening, "oh God" came the brunette's voice again. Lauren reached forward for the door handle, slowly she pushed it down ready to cover her eyes at what lay behind it...
Nothing.
There was no on in the room, no one in the bed, no brunette running around. Confused, Lauren approached the younger girl's cupboard and opened it, again nothing.
"What the..." Lauren began but was interrupted by another groan and splash from the bathroom on the other side of the bedroom.
The green-eyed woman sped to the door and pushed her way inside finding a very green Camila curled over the toilet spilling her guts out.
Holding back a gag, Lauren sank down behind the girl, holding her hair back and began rubbing her stomach.
"Aw babe, hey it's OK I've got you, let it out" she cooed softly as a sob escaped the younger woman.
"I can't stop Lo, I tried to ring you this morning, but I couldn't leave the toilet to get to my pho..." she was interrupted by another heave as she vomited again into the toilet.
"Camz it's ok, don't try to talk I'm here."
Lauren didn't know how long she sat there holding the brunette whilst she threw up again and again and again. It could have been 2 hours it could have been 6, all she knew was the brunette really wasn't well but also how much had she eaten to STILL be throwing up.
Lauren was interrupted from her thoughts by a small, croaky voice.
"Laur, I-I think I might be ok to get up n-now." Camila trembled.
"Come on then sweets," Lauren held a hand out to Camila and slowly pulled her up, but Camila collapsed on trembling legs into Lauren's arms.
"Hey hey, come on now I'll carry you to bed. Legs up"
Camila wrapped her legs around Lauren's waist and buried her face into the green eyed girls neck whimpering. Lauren carried her younger friend over to her bed easily, lying her down gently.
Lauren stroked the sweaty hair back off Camila's forehead and gave her a small smile.
"You get some sleep babe, I'll come back and make sure you're ok later yeah?"
Lauren stood up to leave and turned towards the door. She stopped when she felt a small hand clutch her wrist weakly.
"No, please stay Lo. I don't want to be alone." Camila pleaded, throwing her best puppy dog eyes knowing Lauren could never resist them. "what if I get sick again?"
