I woke up one hour early and skipped breakfast, and arrived at school 45 minutes early. In a hurry, I walked to class praying that no one had arrived. I smiled when the class was empty. I placed my bag on my desk which was the very first, near the door at the front and headed out to look for Jin's locker. In seconds I had caught sight of it. I turned the small handle expecting it to be locked but it wasn't. Looking around one more time just to make sure no one saw me I rummaged through his locker which was somehow empty. It wasn't there. I sighed. Where is it?
"Goodmorning." A deep voice greeted.
"Goodmorning." I walked past the person not bothering to acknowledge who it was. My mind was too busy to do so.
"Hey! You know I can report you for stealing."
I turned to face Tae, showing him my empty hands. "Go ahead."
I walked back to class. "Goodmorning."
"Oh Jin. Goodmorning. How are you this morning."
"Am fine thankyou." I sat at my desk and took out a book and just stared at it as students arrived one by one.
I flipped a page and my eyes widened. My letter!! I opened it just for confirmation and there was a different handwriting at the bottom. 'Sorry am gay.' Confusion was drawn all over my face. Gay?? Jin is gay??. I didn't know how to react. I wasn't angry, nor was I happy or sad. I looked at Jin who caught my gaze and smiled. Lisa walked in and hugged me.
"Did you find it?" She whispered.
"Yeah I did."
"Response?"
"Neh he didn't read it." I lied. She placed her bag down and sat next to me as we went through our assignments. I couldn't stop thinking of my rejection. Funny.
From that day on I became close to Jin and eventually, he become a really close friend. I got to know his crush, Kim Nam Joon. I also became close with Tae and Jungkook even after they both confessed their love for me a few weeks later and I rejected them, our bond became stronger. I was so sure to treasure these people in my life and the new people I would meet in the future.
