Getting back from my run I went to freshen up my mom told me we were going to her friends house for dinner.
I took a shower and put on a cute graphic t-shirt with the some plaid pants and some old converse. I looked in the mirror at my hair it was wet since I just washed it. I grabbed my diffuser so I wont get sick walking around with wet hair.
"C'mon pumpkin we don't have all day," my mom said calling me bye the nickname she gave me when I was born.
"Yes ma'am, just spraying some perfume," I said grabbing my clutch.
She looked at me and smiled.
"You are so beautiful," she said looking at me.
I just smiled at her compliment, she loved complimenting every since I was young. I was the prettiest thing in the world to her.
We got in the car and drove to my moms friends house.

This lady her name is Mrs.Tucker but she go by Francis showed me were my room was and helped me get settled I didn't have a lot of cloth so it wasn't that hard.
"Avery in a hour or so where gonna have company for dinner your welcome to come downstairs and eat dinner with us" she said nicely.
"I'll be down after I take a shower" I said getting some clothes out.
I went in the bathroom that was attached to the room and stripped out of my clothes stepping into the warm shower I spent about 15 minutes in there and got out and put my comfortable clothes on.
When I got out I heard people laughing downstairs.
They must've got here early.
I dried my wet hair with my towel and went downstairs stair to see a mother daughter duo.
They looked very similar just different skin complexions.
"Oh i'm sorry Nicole, this is Avery a new member to the house," she said smiling hard.
I just nodded my head and looked at who i'm guessing is Nicole's daughter.
"Hi i'm Lauren," she smiled showing off her braces.
She was cute but she wasn't my type.
"Wassam"
"Well let's get dinner started I made shrimp and chicken alfredo," Francis said walking in the kitchen.
"I'll help you with the food," Nicole said walking behind her.
I sat down and Lauren sat across from me looking at me.
"Sum on my face," I said with a slight attitude.
She quickly looked down and picked up her phone.
"No I was just looking"
I chuckled a little at her shyness.
She was looking at her phone I just looked at her she was a cute lil petite girl. I was really fucking with her so I really didn't speak much.
"So how old are you" she asked me.
"17, you"
"Same, what school you going to" she pressed.
"What are you the feds asking all these damn questions"
She didn't say nothing she just looked down at her phone again.
A few minutes later Francis and Nicole came back with a bowl of Alfredo and some plates.
When they put the plate down I grabbed me some alfredo and was finna eat until Francis stopped me.
"We say our grace first son" she said looking at me.
"Oh ight" I said glancing at Lauren.
She had her head in her hands waiting on for grace.
Nicole prayed and we started eating, was really good better than Ms.Berry nasty ass food.
I got done pretty fast and got up to clean my dishes, while I was in the kitchen Lauren walked in and put her dish in the sink.
"I hope you don't think i'm washing dat"
"I'm gonna wash it i'm just waiting on you to get done" she said barely above a whisper.
"mhmm"
She just stood there until I got done.
"My mom told me to tell you where going to the same school and I can show you around and stuff" she said.
"Cool" I said uninterested.
I was done and she started washing her dishes, I headed up to my room and turned on the TV Martin reruns was playing so I just laid there and fell asleep.
This a cool lil house it's kinda boring but it's cool and Francis real level headed so I think imma be fine.
Getting lost in my thoughts I drifted of to sleep thinking about my life and what's to come of it.
