Maggie continued to breathe in and out as she thought the idea that her cancer could be back was impossible only a couple of weeks before the whole Marco thing happened she had got the all-clear from Tori and the rest of the doctors at Northern Districts. She began to get weary of the situation she was in and alone, she could feel something was wrong. She had been feeling lightheaded for the past couple of days but she had put it to being stressed when barely eating because of what was going on with Ben, but today she had been to the Diner with Roo, ordering a huge meal which she had eaten all of it.
Maggie's head was swaying and she started just feeling overwhelming sick, she felt like she was going to throw up and every rapid thump of her heart was getting faster and continued to thump in her brain like a migraine which felt agonizing. She couldn't feel her vision going black around the edges like when you're so tired you can't keep your eyes open, and she was becoming weak with the draining experience that was overcoming her body and her limbs were all weak and shaky and uncoordinated. When she tried to get up and walk again to the sofa because everything in the kitchen was making her feel worse with the smell of food when gripped into the chairs of the dining table and the countertops before she had managed to get to the chair that Ben usually sat it, and the blank darkness of the edges covered her eyes completely covered her eyes and her body and it was just like falling asleep.
If anyone had been with Maggie they would have thought she was drunk from the drowsiness and the slurring in her speech but something was far more off with Maggie than being drunk, she was out like a light, she had a blackout, fainted on top of the coffee table which causes the delicate wood pieces to crush and fall apart like the leaves just falling from the tree in autumn.
The last thing Maggie thought was that she had cancer again, all she could think was about Ziggy and Coco, it had nearly broken them last time she couldn't help but feel guilty that it was her fault that they would all have this pain again. Last time was bad enough she was dying, she wasn't getting better and then her last treatment to treat her she had hit the jackpot, she was safe, she was healed, she had more time with her kids, she could be there for her kids. Meanwhile Ben was walking from his area in the surf club where his board shop was, he had put up the sign for 'gone surfing', and he walked to his truck, no board so he drove the farmhouse where he and Maggie had moved to 3 years previous to get his board from the inside the house.
Ben drove up the drive to his country house when he realised that this morning he had already got his board out for the surfing later on in the day. He had stopped to get his board from the porch, and felt the surface of the board to feel that he needed some wax for the board, he moved towards the door was fully open but the screen had been left close, he decided to go into the house to get some more wax for his board after he had come back for his board to clear his mind with his board with a surf at the beach. As Ben the screen door and walked inside the house the chill of the air hung in the house, he walked into the house casually trying to avoid Maggie an she plethora of questions and begging to talk to one another so that they could be a happily married couple again, he just wanted to avoid the heartbreak that he felt every time he saw
"Maggie! Maggie! Mags!" Ben scaredly shouted at Maggie much thoughts we going through his head.
Ben shook maggie to see if she was waking when he stopping shaking her to wake he couldn't wait any longer, he lifted his wife up, in his arms and he moved out of the house as fast as he could, he ran with her in his arms to the truck knocking the surfboard over with his foot as he moved as fast as he could to get Maggie to hospital, to make sure she was going to be okay, he was barely breathing, shallow and weak breaths as she contorted position the passenger seat of the truck.
Ben rushed to the hospital, breaking every speed limit, rushing to get the car to the hospital, he had phoned Tori via the Bluetooth in his car and she was waiting at the hospital for him and Maggie, he pulled up outside the emergency department when the ambulance staff had a bed ready to transport her inside. Ben started reeling off the information he knew to Tori. "I found her at the house, with her over the broken coffee table, she passed out, she won't wake up, it's like last time when I and Coco found her at the beach unconscious and her breathing was so shallow I didn't know if she was still breathing. Its the cancer isn't it, it's back?"
Tori began to deduce what had caused Maggie to faint, blackout and to be unconscious when Maggie began to wake again, slowly her eyes were moving she was coming round from the blackout that had caused her to break the wooden coffee table, she was sore everywhere, her ribs and her slim body ached from the fall. Ben stood at the foot of the bed, he had his arms crossed and he stared at the woman with such worry that his eyes started to well up, and he turned away from her and asked if he could go and get Ziggy.
"I'll go get Ziggy." He said
"Okay," Maggie spoke softly responding as she breathed hard as the thoughts of cancer had hit her.
"Mags, I'll be back soon, I'm going to get Ziggy and tell her that you're here," Ben said with concern as he and maggie weren't talking which made him think this was his fault. He began to think that he should have known and seen that Maggie's cancer was back, he knew that his kids could know over the phone, he knew he had to be there with Ziggy and to get Maggie's mum with Coco because she was going to need them again.
"Your ..." Tori spoke as she looked at the blood tests that had come back in record time since Maggie had been admitted. But Maggie could barely even think and wasn't listening to Tori, to which Tori could see from her face she hadn't been listening or focusing.
