I watched the world I once knew crumble before my eyes. Fires ravaged the land. Enemies and allies alike dead on the ground. I tightened my hold onto the sword in my hand and took a step towards the fallen villain. I could hear those close to me shouting at me to do it. I looked at the person on the ground. They glared at me with gritted teeth.

"Do it." They growled, blood trickling down a cut.

I raised my sword and swung.

I buzzed my lips and finished buttoning up my suit. I headed towards the full length mirror and saw how I looked. A black dinner suit with a blue tie, I grabbed the hair gel, on the table next to the mirror, my medication bottles on top, and messed my hair into its usual blond spiky mess. I looked at myself one final time in the mirror and winked at myself. Man did I look good.

"Can you not check yourself out?" A voice said behind me, "We are already late as it is, plus that's my thing."

"It can be anyone's thing Ethan," I chuckled and turned to see my red-headed brother leaning against my doorway. "Plus I look hot today."

"Please." He scoffed "No one can be hot as this," he gestured to himself

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes and started heading out the door.

"Did you take your medication?" Ethan questioned as he walked beside me.

"Yep took it last night. I won't be as distracted today. I have to be at my absolute best for this dinner."

"Absolute best? Bro, this dinner is routine for us plus I can tell you clearly hate it."

"I don't hate it." I whispered as we arrived at the foyer where our father was waiting. "It's to help build alliances with our friends in the Ocean Province."

He scoffed, annoyance prominent in his eyes and said nothing. I could tell he didn't believe me. We were quiet when we arrived at the foyer. Father took one look at us and hummed a small approval. He turned around and started heading out the door multiple guards following behind. We followed behind them.

The Romaine family lived in the Air Province. Which meant we lived in the sky, higher above them all. The only way to travel down to the ground is by wind. The white gem is what controls transportation, controls everything in the Air Province.

Our group reached the area where transportation is mostly held and jumped. I felt the familiar rush of adrenaline and fear as the ground appeared closer and closer. Just before we hit the ground, a rush of wind caught us and gently placed us on the ground.

I smoothed my mussed up hair back to its original form and took a deep breath. I glanced towards my brother, who was pale in the face.

"I hate doing that." He said shakily and started messing with his hair. A slight green hue appearing in his hair. My eyes widened and I tried to distract him from his oncoming emotions.

"Are you kidding?" I added "Doing that is the most fun I'll have"

I heard my father clear his throat. I turned to see him giving us a dirty look and I immediately shut my mouth and straightened my back. Ethan paid no heed and continued his actions. My father gave him a dirty look and I had half a mind to elbow my brother in the stomach, but father turned back around and started walking again. I gave a sigh of relief, he didn't notice the hue.

We arrived at the limo and all got in. This will take us to the Ocean province faster than by foot. Once I was sure, father wasn't paying attention to us.

I elbowed my brother in the stomach.

"What the fuck was that for?" he whispered harshly as he rubbed the area.
