It all started with mum getting a new job in New York City . It is the year 2027,and hearing a so called "good news " from your parents is not the best thing to hear on your 14th birthday ."mum I love it here" I whined , "the choice is already made and we are moving and that's final" she huffed . My name is Scarlet May James ,I am 14 years old ,I live with my mom ,dad and Taylor (my annoying sister ).I used to live in L.A but a week ago I moved to New York City to live there forever ."maybe I'm exaggerating too much ". Well we moved because mom got a new job and she could not turn it down .Anyway I miss L.A so much ,we lived so near to Beverly Hills that the views of the city is so beautiful at night. I also missed my two bestfriends Talia Anderson and Maria Sanchez .

I remember all three of us being best friends since diaper's .Causing trouble is what we do best ,I remember pouring mum's perfume in her shampoo ,she got really mad but my two best friends covered up for me but that did not mean I got away with it . I also remember losing mum's wedding ring but she thought she was the one who lost it but she found this gadget retriever and she bought it ,if your asking what a gadget retriever is ,well,it a little robot which is flat and it programmed like this.You tell it what you lost and it goes everywhere till it finds it and it makes this disturbing sound like a seal and a lion . At the end of the day her ring was found ,"yay mom ,congrats" .

I have dark chestnut coloured hair and I always wear my lucky red hairband,don't ask me why ? I have no idea why myself ,but I know it brings me good luck ,like that time at the fair I was wearing it I won a stuffed monkey and a tiara which is broken by now. I have no pets ,although I have been asking for one since I was 10 . If I did have one it would be a baby husky because they are cute .

I have one sister her name is Taylor and "let me tell you about that girl" she is extremely annoying she likes to mess with my stuff and she is only three years older than me which makes her 17. She could be nice when she wants to but most of the time she acts like a brat , no scratch that she is a brat a very spoilt one . The only thing she does is admire herself in the mirror which is annoying.

Well this morning I woke up and my alarm clock was ringing pretty loudly so I threw my hairbrush to make it stop , I know ,I know what a dumb thing to do,well let me tell you something if you were me and you really love to sleep ,would you wake up because of an alarm clock that beeps every five second? ,I don't think so. Enough about me the real deal is mom.

Okay.... ,like I said mum got a job she could not turn down and it just happens to be far away.So anyway the job she wanted took alot of effort and time on her hands and she was barely at home .She used to tell me all she wanted to do was to be an accountant so she could take care of me and Taylor and its finally happening .She got the job. "I'm so happy for you mum but does it have to be so far ?", one last detail , mom got divorced with dad so he is still in L.A but they are still on great terms.

Chapter 1 : official

SCARLETTS POV :

I am absolutely shocked to see that our house is very huge and it is pretty much welcoming ,everything looks clean and tidy we also have two garages .Me obviously being impatient ran into the house without waiting for mum or Taylor ,I went upstairs to face my beautiful room that I chose for myself .The walls are painted the shade of light pink and purple and in the middle of the room is a queen sized bed ,a plasma tv on the wall, a wardrobe ,my own toilet and everthing.

I so happen to "see" a boy standing at the other side of the building on the right outside my window .I am guessing he is our neighbour. he took 3 steps towards the window may I mension he is looking at me ? ...to break the awkward silence between us i said "do you workout ?" , why of all things i could think of i just happened to say that?
