3rd POV

You ran into the forest, trying to lose Marshall, but he wasn't chasing you, he didn't recognize you at all. You wearily pulled out your iPod, picked a playlist, and put your earbuds in. You covered your carved in cover name with your hand, hoping you would not be seen as C/n. As you slowed down, you came to the end of the forest, seeing the Candy Kingdom again. You faceplates, then slung the bow over your shoulder, still covering your name, and went into town.

Not a lot of people questioned you, just some small children. You came around the market, now with nothing you could trade. "My textbooks." You thought. "Maybe I can sell them to a library." You went inside a large building, and found a desk. "Excuse me, where am I?" You asked the lady there. "The library." She replied, then you pulled out your textbooks. "How much can I get for these?" You asked, putting the books on the desk. The lady inspected them, then put a small pouch on the table. "Here." She said as you grabbed the pouch, inside were gold coins. "Thanks." You replied before leaving back to the market.

You used the coins to by a new hoodie, this one red, and some actual arrows. You began to make your way back out when you were pulled into an alley. You equipped your bow and arrows in a matter of seconds, aiming at the people who lead you there. It was Fionna, and she had a cat with her. Your muddy hair covered your eyes, but you could see fine, you didn't let any recognized look show. "Who are you?" The cat said, you didn't let your shock show. "I, am L/n, what do you want?" You replied, making yourself sound ominous and wise. "We want to know what you're up to!" Fionna said. "Trying to make an honest living, is that wrong?" You retorted, getting bored of the conversation. You launched an arrow, which landed on Fionna's shirt sleeve, pinning her to the wall behind, and aiming another at the cat. "I don't mess around, and I don't appreciate being hauled into an alley either. Have I made myself clear?" You said, and Fionna ripped the arrow free from the wall. "Hey!" She shouted, but you were already gone. You had already got to the rooftops and run away.

You came back to the grove, and Marshall was still there, tending the fire. "Why are you still here?" You asked, and Marshall looked over. "Had nothing else to do." He replied, standing up. "Nice jacket." You went around the fire and checked the boar hide. "Thanks?" You said, not catching any recognizable sarcasm. "Go away." You said, taking the hide down. "Why?" He asked, coming behind you. "I need to be alone, a lot happened today." You replied, more stern this time. "What happened?" He asked, but you didn't answer, you readied your bow and knocked an arrow. "Fine, I'll leave." He replied, walking backwards, but eventually floating away. You sat down near the fire, then took out your pocket knife. You began to make leather pouches, trying to make something to sell at the market tomorrow. At sunset, you took off the hoodie and balled it up, put it behind you, and leaned against it. When your playlist came back around, "Bleeding Out" by Imagine Dragons came on, and you couldn't help but sing along.

Marshall's POV

I flew around, trying to see if I could spot C/n, but I didn't see her anywhere. Then some sounds came from the forest, something like a person.

"I'm bleeding out, so if the last thing that I do, is bring you down, I'll bleed out for you."

I floated to the ground, and followed the noise into a forest. I placed my left foot on the ground, and I stepped on a twig. I winced.

"So I bare my skin and I count my sins and I close my eyes and I take it in!"

The song still went strong, and was very clear in the quiet of night. I wandered through the forest, following the singing of what sounded like an angel.

"And I'm bleeding out, I'm bleeding out for you. For you..."

I came to a grove, but realized it was the same grove that L/n took refuge. And L/n was propped up by the new hoodie against a tree. L/n was the one singing, eyes focused on semi-constructed leather purses, and a smile visible.

"When the day has come
That I've lost my way around
And the seasons stop and hide beneath the ground
When the sky turns gray
And everything is screaming
I will reach inside
Just to find my heart is beating"

L/n didn't notice me, but what I saw was shocking. I thought L/n would be an outcast with no other talent, but I was wrong. L/n was very talented, and crafty.

"Oh you tell me to hold on
Oh you tell me to hold on!
But innocence is gone
And what was right is wrong!"

I stood there, mesmerized, staring at something I couldn't believe.

"Cause I'm bleeding out, so if the last thing that I do, is bring you down, I'll bleed out for you."

I started to float, flying upward and overhead. Then L/n looked up. "Holy Shit!" She shouted, and grabbed the bow on the next tree over. Then L/n snatched an arrow and aimed up. I sighed, then descended, placing both feet on the ground. I raised my hands up in surrender. "Its just me." I said, trying to get a better look at the hunter's face. "Only you?!? Why?!? Is stalking one of your favorite f*cking hobbies? What the Hell!" L/n yelled, and I was really confused about this kid's gender. "Ok, first, I don't stalk people as a hobby, and second, what gender are you?" I said, tilting my head. "Are all vampires this dim, or is it just you?" L/n retorted, shifting his/her weight to his/her hip. "What?" I replied, and L/n placed his/her hand near his/her mouth and stifled a laugh. "You IMBECILE!" L/n shouted, smile on face. Then took the reed hat off, long h/c hair rolling down out of it. "Seriously Marshall, step up your memory." L/n said, then tossed me the bow. I picked it up and looked it over, engraved on one side was a (family crest) and the word c/n. my mouth fell open. "C/n?!?" I said, then c/n slung her pack over her shoulder and gripped her bow, which was still in my grasp. "Don't wear it out Marsh." She whispered before wrenching her bow free and dashing off.
