Adis ababa, Ethiopia

A tall magnificent glass building of it's kind stood proudly along Gabon street in Adis Ababa and one word made it too noticeable.

Liega.

Liega is a brand, a company across Africa. It deals with almost every aspect of business and this particular building is it's headquarter. So it stood out.

And so does everything that has to do with Liega. For example, it had three head of administrations. And only one is known to the masses. Even the staffs.

The other two are anonymous. Even to their business associates.

So, Liega is a fairy to the masses. The mere mention of the name sends chill down ones spine. Either in a good way or not.

One never know what they are capable of. They could be the kindest people on earth, and yet they could be the cruelest. A few people can attest to that. Those who happen to have cross paths with them, that is.

Or those who happen to think they had cross paths with them.

It's not everyday one crosses path with them. Heck, it's not even possible to cross paths with a real Liega. The owners, their kids, relatives?Or even the staffs. They seem to take pride in this anonymity. That even the staffs employed seem to like keeping their identity anonymous. Those working directly with them, that is.

Banging a job with Liega is like a ticket to riches. Maybe because it pays well, or because they don't really employ just anyone. There's a certain prestige associated with working in Liega.

Liega has several branches spread across Africa. And they are involved in almost everything. From minor necessities like matches sticks to things like producing a state of arts security system.

Liega AI, Liega cars, Liega real estate agencies, Liega plastic industries, Liega petroleum, Liega fashion, Liega ceramics, Liega agrofoods-Everything!

Except one. Everyone wonders why Liega has several halal five star restaurants across the continent but not a hotel. Not even a single one.

Anyway, Liega is a sensation across Africa. And it seem to draw attention to itself even when it does nothing.

Someone will post something as innocent as 'tried Liega strawberry drink. I prefer Zizou'

And the comment section will explode. And I tell you, zizou may have it's biggest sale in a while, not like Liega would suffer any deficits. In disguise, the above poster is telling people to buy Zizou. Because they will. And comparism will begin.

People idolize Liega. Or Liega idolize itself. Whichever way it is, Liega is idolized.

That there's a Liega fan day on every anniversary of it.

Kano, Nigeria

School has only one definition, a learning arena.

But aside learning everything book, we learn to live amongst people. We learn to get along with our classmates. We learn to love or hate the subjects we are taught.

We learn to love a certain aspect of this teacher and despise another. We learn to rely on each other and at some point, we became family. That we feel the heart growing fonder of each other with distance.

School begins from a basic kindergarten class where infants who could barely stand up straight are kept with each other, thence growing on each other.

It then proceed to a subsequent stage of play age. And then a more matured stage. In Nigeria, it's a 9-3-4 system.
