It was always Sean's wish to die in an epic manner, even heroic. Perhaps it would have been saving a poor innocent child during a fire, or pushing an old lady to replace her spot in getting hit by a car. Regardless, he had dreamt of dying in honor. As a child he loved heroes, super heroes, samurai, knights, any idol that believed in honor. His room was even filled with shelves after shelves of fantasy books he's collected over the years.
But not like this!!
Sean floated in nothingness. He felt nothing, saw nothing, heard nothing. Yet his thoughts were clear.
He couldn't believe it! Why did he die like this!! All his hard work put into his future last dying thoughts, lost! Why is it that a mere slip in the shower caused his demise?! Why didn't he have a light flashing before his eyes moment?! Where was the slow motion?!
. . .
Was this really it? Was he really going to die like this? It's not like anyone is going to find his dead body that laid sprawled over a pool of blood. Sean was a shut-in. Despite his rather outgoing attitude, Sean was also an introvert, rather chose to stay inside and read one of his many books of honor and chivalry. Or read those fantasy web novels, where the protagonists who start off as the weak underdogs climb their way to the top, fighting tooth and nail just to defeat those who try to push them down. Books and stories that he loved, those that contained noble deaths of both the main characters and side characters.
Despite talking to many people he rarely physically got his nose out of his book and hung out. He enjoyed speaking to others but still, he'd rather time for himself. Other than being a complete shut in, life wasn't so bad. He didn't die with many regrets. Well, at least Sean believed so. Living a life with only books and their characters to accompany him, was pretty good for him. However, never became extremely close to anyone.
That meant no one would probably find his body in a day or two.
This is so fucking fucked! What the fuck?! Sean wanted to rip his hair out but couldn't. This death was uncool! It all happened way to fast. So unfair! So unfair! He wanted a redo, a second chance. He'd do anything to at least fix his death.
In the middle of his rather childish complaints, he heard a sound- actually, it was more like a voice! It sounded robotic, but finally he could hear! Even something appeared in the darkness, like a . . . loading screen?

'N-no way that this could-' Unfortunately, his thoughts were cut short by a loud ear piercing screech as a small glowing light quickly grew to blind him and everything went black again.
Sean wanted to scream , "What the fuck!!!"
