"Where the fuck are we?!" I asked desperately Adam, the navigator of our crew, who was already at the edge of starvation. He was a good-looking 14-year-old with curly hair. He exhaled for a second and pulled out his sextant, adjusted a thing and looked in it. He sighed and complained; "I don't know, I can't use this crap. I can bearly use a compass and a map. Now we're lost. AGAIN! Realize it already Simon! We're all dead-meat, I can already hear the vultures hawking, waiting for us to just die and being able to be eaten.".
"Come on you! That's only Le'Bron James, the boat rat. By the way, what's with the attitude, Adam? We're supposed to be on a treasure hunt! This is supposed to be the most exciting adventure of our lives, and instead of enjoying yourself, you are complaining about not being able to use a sextant." I exclaimed.
"Now specifically, which section of this "adventure" are we assumed to enjoy? Starvation? Isolation? Boredom? Or maybe the salt? We're in the middle of the ocean, I don't think if there is anything, to enjoy." Cried Lucy, our technician. Lucy was a 13-year-old, emo girl who didn't do her job, she was just, well, there.
"Well then look at the bright side! It's not a problem anymore that Adam can't use the sextant." I said.
"What do you mean?" Lucy asked confusedly.
"You just said where we were, in the middle of the ocean. " I explained. "Simon you son of a..." Lucy jumped towards me and started to fight.
We fought for about half a minute until Adam realized what was going on, and pulled us apart from each other.
"What the hell man?! We were just getting into it!" Lucy cried.
"Ugh, thanks, bro!" I thanked.
"What? I wasn't trying to help you. I just wanted to remind you that, never, ever start fighting without having people to bet." Adam said.
"Yeah! That's right sucker!" Lucy yelled.
"Oh jeez! Adam, that's messed up!" I said.
"Ok, ok! I was just kidding." Adam said calmly.
"By the way, what took you so long?" I asked, starting to get frustrated.
"Oh, I was wondering if any of you guys brought UNO. I would play a match."
Lucy and I looked at each other and started to fight again but this time, with Adam. But then, Billy, the driver of our boat with chapped cheeks, interrupted, "Captain, I see 6 unusual structures. Should I go towards or bypass them?" he asked, waiting for the order.
"Go towards them! Maybe if there are people there, they have food. I smell sour, bananas and fear by Le'Bron" I ordered.
"Right away, sir!" Billy said.
10 minutes and 27 seconds passed when we... didn't arrive yet. Another 17 seconds pass when we arrived.
"Please stay in the boat while I go up one of them!" I ordered.
"Of course, I forgot losers are in priority!" Lucy complained under her breath.
"What did you just say, Lucy?" I asked mockingly.
"Nothing." she replied nervously.
"That's what I figured." I said, trying to embarrass her... failed.
I climbed up the closest strange building to me and while doing so, I felt cold smoothness of the ladder under my fingertips. When I reached the top, I shivered. There, I could only see bananas and an insane old man muttering.
