A knock on the door halted Sana from preparing the food her and Momo will be eating for their first indoor date.
Sana insisted that she'd cook for their date today since Momo did all the effort and spent all the money from their past ones outdoors (well, Momo was the one who courted her, so of course she had to spend).
'what the heck?! She's already here!'
She was boiling the noodles, and was reading the recipe she had looked up in the internet. But... Of course, Sana didn't understand a single thing from it. She had read it over and over again but couldn't understand any of its procedures. Well, other than boiling the noodles and chopping other ingredients needed for the pasta that took a lot of time before she actually learnt the knife she was chopping with was held backwards.
Another knock was heard from the door.
"coming!" Sana yelled back, washing her hands first and drying it with the apron she had tied around her waist before opening the door to let her date in.
A goofy smile was plastered on Momo's face as she waved at Sana.
"why are you so early? I thought we agreed with six?" Sana tilted her head to the right to check the what time it is on the wall clock. "it's only a quarter to five!"
"I don't know..." Momo scratched her nape while saying so. "I thought, maybe you needed some help with the cooking."
"I— maybe I do,"the younger looked down at her feet out of embarrassment. what's the point of lying anyway. " I do need A LOT of help. "
Sana let Momo in her house and closed the door, her date had already walked over to the kitchen to check what Sana was cooking.
"let me see."
"I was cooking pasta, okay?"
The older let out a snicker, it wasn't meant to be freed from her lips, but what she saw was just hilarious. "Uhm... no offense. But pastas don't have potatoes."
"I know that! t-that was by mistake, okay. I didn't mean to buy it!"
Momo chuckled while washing her hands. "whatever you say." she dried her hands and faced Sana, hands on her waist, looking eager. "c'mon, let me help you."

"thanks for coming early, I guess." the two Japanese girls were now eating the pasta they had cooked, best to say, what Momo cooked. All Sana did was taste the food to check if it was fine or needed a little bit of something. Sana will never not forget to thank Momo for saving their date.
"don't mention it." Momo's smile was bright, evident that she enjoyed cooking with Sana— she enjoyed Sana's company while she was cooking. "it was fun actually."
"if you didn't, the house would've probably been burnt down or we'd be ordering take out."
"either way, I'd still enjoy this date." Momo held Sana's hand on top of the table, the smile on her was nothing but sincerity. Being with Sana was always amazing, the girl had a lot of stories to tell, you wouldn't get bored being with her.
The squirrel blushed from the act, Momo has a habit of holding Sana's hand whenever. She liked both of Sana's palm and the back of her hand. It was smooth and soft, she would like to hold it everyday.
"pshh, don't believe it."
"oh c'mon! I was being serious."
Sana let out small laugh, twirling the noodles around her fork. "by the way, you're a great cook!"
