We are left with many questions; likewise specifically what is controlling all these strange dimensions and yet alone visions? In the past, I thought Burns set me up by the whole lab scheme and his secret assistant Peirce. Turns out, I saw a change of mind at heart and my body spun. I was constantly thinking about trying a few drinks myself to calm my head after figuring out that these visions are getting in the way internally. I became shut out by a powerful source from the past and suddenly every day that is heading our way. I was even tested for multi-active brain capacities and the only resolution was to put this strand of coverage in my brain. It was all one vulnerable blur to me, and my thoughts crumpled into thin debris.I pictured my body laid nearside an entitled graveyard where the volcanoes met up alongside a windy trail. I woke up feeling past nightmares run within me except the experience was just as vivid. The wind stayed still, and for a moment the sand spelled out the most common word to my existence which was deceased. Shortly after the shoreline washed up, my left eye countlessly bruised from it being push into the sand too long. My eye flickered with the gouging gush of teary blood from my eyelids.
"Where am I and where is everyone?" I internally asked myself trying to search for an answer.
The sky presented itself in close reach. I touch the clouds with only a finger and seen a ray of sunshine slowly melt the atmosphere once the ground stopped rumbling. Jay walked toward me afraid to say we were washed up on a shoreline which was originally distinguished as The Lost Peninsula. He was carrying my father noticing a wound through his ankle.
"What happened to him, Jay? You think everything is going to be alright." I pleaded steadily freaked out about the horrible view.
"You don't have any reason to worry, kid. He'll be just fine; this must've been a battle site long ago judging by all the empty shells laid on the ground. He must've tripped over one of them trying to look for you." Jay suggest dropping him on the wet sand.
"Now, what's our next move?" I questioned keeping in mind that we are in the middle of nowhere.
"Let's see. We can start by..." Jay pauses being interrupted by a familiar wolf howling as it glanced over to my father on the sand. The wolf lost the voice of Jay and sprinted in the woods. I planned on setting up a trap to interrogate the suspected shapeshifter, but it disappeared in drizzled parts of debris.
The odd wolf showed up again and ran after its suspicion of helicopters flying through the hot weather. I blinked a couple of times and my view had twirled like an axle on four wheels. My eyes widen, and I was placed in my father's crib holding the same pizza box from a familiar setting.
It was bizarre dad mentioned his boss Pierce and son Lenny a second time interacting with him. I dropped my pizza like the same washed up memories lately and ran up to my room with little hope that I can turn things around. Unfortunately, I came to what use to be my room and now it's been taken down to give wood to Oaksville's nearby department stores. I called my dad from downstairs and he was alerted about the news earlier. He forgot to mentioned that my room was being tampered until it's eventually put back together again. I fainted seeing these things fall apart and woke up on the shoreline as the waves snapped me out of the flashback. I turn around seeing Jay in complete fear after my father became silent for this amount of time.
"Luke. Luke, wake up!! At least talk to me before someone sees us out here. We're ready to roll through this island, come on man!!" Jay and my father both took turns shouting for me to get out of this trance.
I would like to blame the storm, but life has its ways to inferring what is real and what is fake. I found my power generated self out of a traumatic dust storm. Usually, we have heavy rain or light hail whenever the weather was considered dreadful and folks never had to worry at all.
The shore splashed in my face and my neck felt sore noticing a black scorpion sucking some of the leftover blood. I was sleep on the inside but felt so alive in my aching soul.
"Hey Luke, we know your secret and your friends better not get in the way." A replayed voice spoke from behind the trees.
"Who's over there?!! Listen, I'm going to check things out. You stay here with your father." Jay whispered to me while I rolled over in the sand.
Jay hopped over some loose branches and crept around a tree. He noticed a recorder laid on the grass. He was beyond furious and felt a lot of strange activity lurking in our spots.
I was already up and walking through this rocky and dry climate. My dad was laid out but awake to realize we were in deep trouble. We were running away from a dark place and end up lost on an enchanted shoreline like any explorer or establisher. I thought about this in a good way since it keeps me levelheaded about the situation.
"Luke and Burns, I found a tape recorder. Someone has been watching us and playing with our heads. I don't know what's going on here, but we have to go now." Jay announced getting worried.
Out of nowhere, a secret army of agents appeared, grabbed us, and placed a chokehold on each of our necks. I tried to run away and got jabbed in the chest falling amongst the sand. All I can see now is that tape recorder lying there in pity. I pushed the small button and a siren alerted a message that a killer named Hunting Menace was coming for us and the agents loosen their chokeholds just to find out that it was a trap once they looked toward each helicopter above.
A beam came down in front of us and vanquished into an eight-foot man wearing a hat as tall as Abraham Lincoln would have it. I was glad we were around a population in case one of us were to be mauled by some animal or diseased scavenger. We fought the agents off while Jay got a hold of the Hunting Menace's gun and shot all of them especially letting down the helicopters. After a thunderous smack to the head, I insisted we all burry the bodies deep in the sand. I noted to myself that I could not allow any visions get to my head before we keep living in endless bits of insanity.
"Let's go! Please Everyone! It's getting cold and there's hardly enough firewood around here. We're going to have to swim off the shoreline or something." I suggested seeing we all were standing at each other's feet puzzled.
"Alright, we can try floating our ways outward to seek land. Maybe, we could imagine ourselves as light as possible like the wind. You understand? Luke? Burns? What is going on?" He asked looking around for us but found out we were flying noticing our arms shifted into wings.
My father and I circled in the sky above Jay. I imagine him with wings and at an instant he was flying while the look on our faces was filled with confused relief to be offshore. It was amazing having a memory such as the ability of flying in my opinion.
We see a gateway that shaped the sun into a ball of images. We flew right inside to find out our earth was the sun of this hallucinate shoreline. I'm glad we made our way off it and we can focus now on renewing smoother lives after all it cost us in the past.
The three of us fell one by one and my dad landed onto some bushes while Jay and I fell on top of the crowd. They had a city parade going on and city representatives were on top of the mayor's float. We were back to our normal selves but constantly would lose our balance due to unusual landmass. I jumped up to the sky not realizing the gravity in my own world. I was jumping thinking I was high up like a small tennis ball in the cool air.
Louise was right in front of me. The last time I seen her was back in 2018 and the year is 2028 specifying the old New Year's posters hung. I couldn't relate why the future looks so familiar compared to how I last remembered it. Louise and I locked eyes and she were filled with questions including what happened to us since the last incident?
Jay and Burns came and seen her excited to see each of us while a flame glistened the sky. We were startled until Louise told us it's just a screen above us once the ozone layer vanquished into a thin cloud a few years ago.
"Shortly before y'all left, I was stuck out here visiting that same hospital and a new mayor was elected in Oaksville; it was renamed as Short Oaks. Don't ask me why it was named that, but just know it's just the way things are around here." Louise told us while we couldn't be any more thankful to see her again.
All of us started to change into our older selves same as before involving more facial hair. The wind carried on a wicked force which evolved into our images for the year 2028.
