"What are you doing here spying on me? Did Pan send you?" I demanded angrily.

I was letting off some steam already and I wasn't going to hesitate to attack anyone.

A few days had passed since the failed rebellion of the Lost Boys. Upon returning to camp from Tink's grave, Peter dealt some punishments to the boys. Many were still healing and none stepped out of line again. They also didn't approach me which suited me just fine.

"Hate to burst your bubble, but it's just me," the boy replied and I turned my head to the side. It wasn't Pan or the other Lost Boys. It was Baelfire.

"Well look who finally got off their leash. Did you escape or something?" I mocked sarcastically.

My arms were crossed unimpressed.

"I've been allowed to move around the camp. Chatted with a few boys, the usual. You've been so gloomy, you haven't noticed."

"It wasn't my fault I was injured."

"Ah yes, your boyfriend unleashing a beast to quell a rebellion and using you as collateral. I've heard about it. Not very kind I might add."

"Shut up, he's not my boyfriend," I state flatly wanting to end the discussion.

I paused for a second. I could've sworn that Pan was watching me. I turn around and he raises his eyebrow at me in curiosity.

"What's the matter?" Bae asked me and I shook my head and smiled,

"Nothing's the matter Baelfire, let's go."

The two of us walked in the jungle and away from the camp. As we did, Baelfire asked, "Are you here by choice?"

I frowned, "Are you?"

"Fair enough," Baelfire sighed as he cut away a plant, "I have an offer for you, then."

"What is it?"

"I'm thinking of a way to leave the island," Baelfire said in a low tone.

My eyes widened, "Leave the island? Is that even possible?"

"Sure it is," Baelfire shrugged his shoulders.

He stopped at a cluster of vines and pulled them to reveal a hidden entrance. We entered and Baelfire stretched his arms, "Welcome to my second home away from the Lost Boys. I've been secretly gathering supplies that I might need."

"This is impressive," I couldn't hold back the surprise in my voice, "But how did you do this without anyone noticing?"

"You made a good distraction," Baelfire admitted and laughed when I sent him a glare, "With the Lost Boy's rebellion distracting Peter and you, it gave me time to slip away."

"I'm glad I could be of service," I said sarcastically, I picked up a coconut and threw it at him.

"Hey, watch where you throw that," He pouted.

I sat on a rock and stared at him, "What's your plan?"

Baelfire replied, "It's a secret."

"And that is code for you don't have a plan?" I said.

"Come on," Baelfire grabbed a bag, "There's something we need to get if you're up for an adventure."

"I got nothing else going on," I shrugged my shoulders.

After everything that had happened with the beast and Peter, I wanted to keep some space between us. Baelfire led the way to the opening of a cave. He passed me a flashlight and we allowed ourselves to blend into the darkness.
