Years of Training,

Working,

Waiting.

Years of Study,

Notes,

Lectures.

Fun and games.

Memories made.

Hardships battled.

Loved ones lost.

Identities found.

We fought,

And won,

What we have searched for.

A single paper.

A firm handshake.

A simple idea.

The target of so much strife.

Here we are,

Hearts smiling,

Minds full,

Ready for our next steps.

Moving forward.

Some may tary.

Step by step.

We may get weary.

Dreams have come,

Dreams will go

On and on,

Down the road.

But for now

We stand up tall.

Chins held high.

Tears will dry.

Together for now.

Soon apart.

Grads.

Just remember.

Follow your hearts.

I wrote this to go in my yearbook.

Just remember my peers, just because the last couple months have bee a hard row to hoe, doesn't mean we don't deserve our diplomas like every year before us, and every year to come.

Stay strong. Remember who has your back.

Be who you are, not what others want from you.
