Kerry danced around their room excitedly, randomly leaping in the air. They were ecstatic about the fact that they had been cast in ASOUE, of course, but their celebrity crush was going to be playing their love interest.
Malina Weissman had been Kerry's celebrity crush ever since Kerry had watched A Series of Unfortunate Events for the first time, but they'd never actually expected to be cast in their favorite show, let alone as Violet's love interest. Kerry kept expecting to wake up; this couldn't be real.
One thing that Kerry hated was the fact that so many people in the comments were mad about how Kerry was usually in shows or movies that were ridiculously popular, like IT. I mean, Kerry thought, A Series of Unfortunate Events isn't that popular, but it isn't that... not popular, either.
It didn't matter anyway. Kerry was going to probably get to kiss MALINA FREAKING WEISSMAN! Only for a show, but still!
According to what the director had told them, Kerry would be flying out to the place where filming would be on Saturday, and today was Thursday. MOTHER. FUCKING. THURSDAY.
Then something crossed Kerry's mind that deflated their good mood entirely. They were going to have to pretend to be a girl for an entire other show.
That was their least favorite thing about acting. Kerry had to conceal the fact that they were genderfluid.
Suddenly, a thought crossed Kerry's mind. No more.
Kerry knew it was a crazy notion, but once it was in their mind, they couldn't get it out. What if - what if they came out in an Instagram post on Friday? They would have to cut their hair in order to play Cookie, anyway, so why not? Kerry was getting their hair cut today, so why not do a photoshoot tomorrow and come out in an Instagram post?
Kerry stiffened their resolve. They were going to do it. They were going to come out.
