At the age of 86, Avatar Korra left her last breath in her motherland southern watertribe, after the enormous service of bringing peace and balance to the world. So the new cycle of Avatars begins.

It's 4.00 pm

"Jin, come here honey"

" In a minute Mom"

Jin Lee is a seven years old earthbending girl who was born in Ba Sing Se. She and her twin sister Min Lee who is also an earthbender had a very beautiful childhood together. These sisters are unbreakable. Their single mother takes care of them since they lost their father due to a car accident in an unfortunate way.

"Jin, I'm gonna go to the market for buying some supplies we need. You take care of yourselves untill I come back okay"

" Okay Mom"

Sisters spend their evening joyously, playing with their fire breathing dragon toy which was given to Min as a birthday present.

About after two hours one of the Ba Sing Se security officers is knocking on their door and their mother still hasn't come back home.

"Open the Door"

Jin and Min are terrified but they have no other choice. So they open the door.

"Is this Mrs. Maang's home?"

"Ye..Yes"

"I am so sorry.. Your mother has been killed by someone"

Sister were shocked and they couldn't believe it at first. In the end they are crying for hours. Poor sisters are alone for real this time. There's no one to take care of them.

No one could find the real reason why Mrs. Maang was killed.

It turns out Jin and Min have an aunt. So their full custody is given to her.

It has been months after the death of their mother.

The aunt hasn't been the aunt of the year really. She kept them as her servants rather than treating them as her nieces. She punished them for every little things and they were helpless towards her because, none of them haven't learned the art of earthbending.

"Do any mistake I will punish you for life. Never forget that!"

Oneday, an expensive flower vase was broken by Min. As a punishment poor Min wasn't fed for three days. She was only able to drink water. Jin couldn't handle her sister's suffering. So she gave Min food behind her aunt's back. Jin was caught off guard and she was also punished with only breakfast for two days and she had to do the whole household works all by herself.

And just like that their childhood became a nightmare.

Eight years had passed
