Chapter 4: Love, hate such a fine line between them

Caroline's P. O.V.

I spent all day searching 'mates' and I came up with upsolutely nothing.

I realised that if I wanted answers I would have to ask Klaus.

Surprisingly being his mate is not what scared me. But the fact that I am happy that it is Klaus and not Tyler or anybody alse.

I was right outside his manor but I couldn't find the courage to knock. 'Ok Caroline take a deap breath, you can do this.' Inhale, exchale. I knocked three times.

The door opened in matter of seconds and I was greeted by a smilling blonde. "Bekah! You're here!" I smilled she hugged me and I hugged her back. "Hey Care! Yes I came back with Stefan." she said when we broke the hug. "Umm..is...is Klaus here?" I asked "Yeah. Let me just call him. He is painting. NICK YOU HAVE A VISITOR!!!!" She screamed and I flitched "WHO EVER IT IS TELL THEM TO LEAVE!!!" Klaus screamed back "OH I THINK YOU'LL WANT TO SEE THAT ONE!!" Rebekah smirked at me. I blushed.

I heard a door open and then close. His footsteps coming closer. "Who the h- Oh! Hello love!!" He smiled at me. It was indeed incredible how quick that man's mood changes. "Hi klaus.." I greeted "To what do I own this visit?" he smirked. That is when I notiched that Rebekah had left but I paid no mind. "Yeah...I umm...Wanted to talk." I looked down. That man is the only man in the world that can make me nervous by only saying hi to me. "Let me guess..About all this hybrid situation.." he stated and I nooded. "Alright make yourself at home." he pointed to the couch.

He explained everything he knew and I told him everything Bonnie told me. "I see..." was all I could say. "Listen love...I know that..I know that you have a plan for your life. That you have a future and you did not expect your life to make a turn like that. So I get if you want me to leave. After all I am the bad guy. I am the vilan of this story." he looked down.

"Klaus....Ok...Three monthes after you left I was in big trouble...Huge...And I panicked so I just packed my bags, got into my car and started driving. And I found myself in New Orlance looking for you..." He looked at me "I got a call from Bonnie saying that they needed me and I couldn't find you but....I think...A part of me has always known....You were never the vilan of my story..." His eyes had tears in them now but I continiued "I admit that when we first met I hated you. You were the big bad wolf. The one who killed so many people that I cared about but then..You saved me....and since then I hate to admit that I couldn't stop thinking about you... The look in your eyes, the way you smiled and smirked, the way you talked to me like I was the only person in the world...Before you I always felt like the second choice...Before you I never felt wanted...." I got closer to him "Before you I never felt loved...I worry that you will get bored of me because..." He frowed "I can't think of a better person to spent eternity with.." he looked into my eyes with such love I never saw before and he kissed me and it was like fireworks inside me. He broke it and said "I can't think of a better person to spent eternity with either..." he smiled and I kissed him again.

3rd person's P.O.V.

Elijah was at the Grill drinking a glass of borboun. Yes I know shocking! But he needed a distraction.

That is when he heard the voice of the person he needed distraction from. "Hello Eiljah.." he turned arround "Katerina..."

"We need to talk." she stated he nooded. Kat sat down beside him ordering. She turned to look at him. "Explain." she stated with a serious look "Explain what?" he asked "Everything. Explain, everything."

Elijah spent almost two whole hours explaining everything.

"So...I am your mates?" Katherine asked curious secretly hoping that she was "Yes, Katerina." she smiled so brightly it made him smile to.

"Amazing!" she said kissing him. They both felt like there were mini exploasions inside their bodys but they weren't painfull. They were making them feel...happy..

She broke the kiss and they both smiled "Because I would do everything just to spent eternity with you Elijah.." she smiled keeping her eyes closed. They were still in eatchother embrace and he kissed her temple "Me too Katerina... Always and forever."

Kol had to be sure. He was just outside Bonnie's house when she got out "Kol?! What the hell do you want??" she asked annoyed.

The scent was all over him begging him to kiss her. Suffocating him. Yes. It is true. Bonnie Bennett is his mate.

"I just wanted to annoy you. Since as I see you are all alone over here and I am borded. Siriously. Where is your family?" he smirked. He felt a rush of sadness all over him but it wasn't his. It was Bonnie's. But why was she sad all of a sudden?

"Can't you just leave me alone?!" she said through teeth. "Nope." he casually said "Kol, really I am not in the mood to deal with you right now. And I don't have the energy to give you anuriasms." she rolled her eyes and walked to the car.

He kept following her and annoying her although the real reason he was there was because he just wanted to be closer to his mate.. Three hours already passed and she had had enough of him. "God! I hate you!" she besically screamed.

Something inside hin twitched at her words and his insides felt like they were burning up. He was hurt by her words. But he didn't show it "Glad to know the feelings are mutual!" he smirked and walked away still in pain of her words.
