Dalyla got off of the school bus with a smile on her face. The sound of the birds flying in the blue sky brung joy upon her. She was full of positive energy from the top of her head to the top of her toes.
When she entered the living space of her house, both of Dalyla's parents, Zach and Lillian where sitting on the couch. Boxes where surrounding the couch. There facial expressions were not pleasent. The smile that once rested on Dalyla's face faded. She slowly grew concerned.
"Sweetpea, sit down. We have some news." Lillian, Dalyla's mother, said.
" The good kind, or the bad kind? " Dalyla asked.
"Bad, I'm afraid darling." Said Isaac, Dalyla's father.
Dalyla placed her bag by the front door, the day on the couch.
" Honey, you father got a job offer," said Lillian.
A smile revisited Dalyla's face, "How is that bad news?"
" The job offer is from a company in Louisville. I'm afraid we will have to relocate, " Isaac said.
" Look at it as an opportunity, Darling, you will be able to meet new people and make new friends, " said Lillian.
Dalyla's face lurked with devastation. She had never felt so sad before.
"I like the friends I have now though. I don't need new ones." Dalyla said.
"Well, I'm sorry, Sweetpea, but we don't really have a choice. Now if you would, please go pack your things. Tomorrow will be your last day at Bluebell." Isaac said.
Tears fell softly from Dalyla's eyes.
"Okay." Dalyla said.
She had walked to her room and packed her things with the help of her mom. She left out one outfit for tomorrow.
