BEEP, BEEP!!! HONK, HONK!!
I wake up to the blaring sound of a car horn and am tackled out of the way of the oncoming car. I'm now sitting on the side of the road with a kid with shaggy black hair and brown eyes. He is staring at me wide eyed before asking shocked, "What the hell were you doing in the middle of the road?"
Looking around I see we're in the woods but I .... I can't seem to figure out why or how I got here. Looking at him I tell him the truth, "I.... I don't know how I got here."
Trying to think back I can't remember anything, I can't remember how I got here, can't remember my name, can't remember when I was born or anything else. He looks at me shocked before shaking his head and taking my hand helping me up, "Okay. Well can I help you get back to where you need to go?"
I tried to remember but couldn't, grabbing my head to try to stop the pain from trying to remember. "I can't remember, anything."
He grabs at something before I hear more shuffling, but I'm still trying to stop the pain in my head. I suddenly hear him say, "You're driver's license says Tiffany Eigner. You're 16. It has an address that is a state away."
Looking at him I see him holding a black backpack with my wallet in the other hand. "My name is Tiffany."
He nods before handing me the i.d. and I look at it, taking in the picture and looking at it, it's definitely me. Looking back at him I see that he's giving me a thoughtful look. He sighs before running his hand through his hair, "Look I can't just leave you out here. How about you come back to my place tonight and I'll talk to my mom. Maybe she'll know what to do."
I nod before following him through the woods, "So you now know my name, but what's yours?"
I heard the smile in his voice as he responded, "Oh it's Scott McCall. Sorry, I guess I should have said that before."
Looking around I notice that we're slowly starting to enter city limits, "Thank you Scott. I know you don't know me and I'm not sure I know me or anything but I feel I'm supposed to be thankful in situations like this."
He chuckles before saying, "Well first let's see what mom says and go from there. She's a nurse and can help."
It was quiet for the rest of the walk to his house. Once there I notice the lights on the lower level of the house. Scott uses his house key to unlock the door before stepping in, "Hey mom. Can you come here for a second?"
I see a lady with long curly black hair walk up from what looked like the living room. She looked at Scott then at me then back at Scott. "Umm, who's this?"
He sighs before again running his fingers through his hair, "Well I just happened to find her in the middle of the road with a car racing towards her. She has no memory at all."
His mom stepped toward me before looking into my eyes, from the left to the right and then back again. "It might be amnesia from a traumatic event."
Scott shrugs and looks to his mom, "I was hoping you would know. I mean I couldn't exactly just leave her in the woods."
His mom nodded before looking from him to me, "We do have the spare room you can use. Tomorrow morning we can get you enrolled in school and then have you officially checked out at the clinic afterwards." She sighed before looking to Scott, "Go get the room set up."
He stepped away to prepare the room and so his mom and I talked, "My name is Mellissa McCall. What's your name honey?"
Clearing my throat I shift on my feet, "Tiffany Eigner according to my driver's license."
