"SO, HOW ARE YOUR POTIONS DOING?" THE BRUNETTE BOY asked his twin sister and his friend, as they continued to dig into their delicious breakfast. They were down to their last week, and in all honesty, Caroline was a bit sad about it. She secretly hoped she and the Slytherin boy could hang out after the potion work was done, even as friends. Because they are friends, aren't they? Caroline took a bite of her scrambled egg and replied. "It's great. I mean this is the last week, so I guess we're all on the same page? You know, of finishing the potion." She said, in a rather calm manner. Jack knitted his eyebrows in confusion, as he took a bite of his sausages. He noticed that Caroline was lost in thought, and looked rather disturbed. "Penny for you thoughts? You seem a little off."

He earned an annoyed expression from her. "What makes you say that?" She asked and focused on her plate.

"Oh she's probably still thinking about that dat—" Amara spoke up, but realised that she was about to spill their secret about Caroline and Regulus' little date from the other week. Which made Caroline look at her as if looks can totally kill. And no she did not mean it as a compliment. The look was not beautiful, but looked as if she was about to leap off of her seat and beat the living light out of Amara. Caroline your inner slytherin is showing again, you better calm yourself down. She mentally scolded herself.

"What?" Jack asked, confused. "Thinking about what?"

"Hehe, what Amara meant was I was busy thinking about that new broom they recently released!" She said in a way Jack would hopefully believe her, with a hint of sarcasm and venom in her words, as her eyes threw daggers at Amara. The brown haired gulped and forced a smile at her blonde best friend. Then they all proceeded to eat once again. But Amara wasn't wrong though. She couldn't get that friendly date out of her mind. It's been a while since she truly had fun. I mean, yes, she did have fun with her two friends. But that date, made her feel free in a way. Was it because Regulus related to her? Was it because he listened to her every time she would utter a word?

Caroline couldn't help but look over at the Slytherin table, where she made eye contact with the certain Slytherin that has been occupying her mind lately. She gave a short smile at him, while he did the same. She looked away and as she did, her eyes were immediately met with a familiar pair of brown ones, that were owned by her guy friend. And he looked serious.

"It's him, isn't he? He's been on your mind?"

The blonde made her way to the Astronomy tower that night, hoping to finally wrap up their project that has been done for the past four weeks. With a cheerful spirit, Caroline quietly snuck out, excited and longing to see her friend. Friend—it still feels odd to call him that, since they never really expected each other to get along. Instead, she shook off that feeling and continued to walk. Just as she was walking, she heard a few voices, which made her immediately hide behind a wall, careful not to be seen or heard.

"So? Any news on our bet?" A silent harsh whisper was heard, and Caroline couldn't help but eavesdrop. Another voice answered, saying, "I'm not quite sure, but one of our mates saw the both of them at the Three Broomsticks last Saturday, so I guess our seeker has been making progress."

A low mischievous chuckle was let out. "Good, good. Looks like we could win the house cup after all. And maybe, just maybe, Black could keep his position if ever he doesn't mess up." The blonde's ears perked up at the mention of Regulus. She scoffed, and later then on realised, wait, bet? Is this what Agatha has been warning me about? Nonsense, Regulus isn't stupid enough to do that. Or is he?

Caroline furrowed her eyebrows, and it made her think. Well, looks like I'll have to find out myself. And looks like their current assignment could help her on her finding out the truth.

Alright, what are you hiding, Regulus Black?
