Wanderer

Chapter 3:

When I got to the spot I opened the book. It was very old so I had to be very careful with it. I read a little and decided I wanted to go exploring. There was a little place down below the spot. So I walked on it down to the river. When I got to the river I saw little things floating on top of the water. I didn't know what they were so I tried picking one up. It was almost like I was touching water but I wasn't.

That was the moment I realized it was a creature. I looked in my pack for the book about creatures, but it wasn't in my pack. So I grabbed my journal and sketched it so when I got home I could try and find it in the creature book. After I sketched the little thing I admired it going about on top of the water for a minute and then I decided to go home.

When I got home I looked in the creature book I found something that looked like it. It was called a Water Sprite but you can just call it a water fairy. I wrote the research I found about the water fairy and wrote it down in my journal.

That's when I thought to myself that it was extraordinary that there was a creature living in the village this whole time and I didn't know it.

"Mother." I said.

"Yes dear?" Mother asked.

"Look what I found today, it was called a Water Sprite, many people call it a Water Fairy." I said excitedly.

"Oh I've seen many of those, I used to go down to the river near the village when I was a kid and let them crawl onto my hand and dance around." She said as she smiled.

Before my mother told me the reason why King Carter made us stay in a closed up village out in the middle of nowhere I would never think of my mother being an outdoors kind of person. She has always told me to stay inside the village and she would stay inside a lot. But I guess she was very adventurous and she might still be.

After I showed mother the Fairy I found, I wandered if there would be any more creatures in the village. That day I looked and looked for just one sight of a creature, but no luck. When I went to bed I thought to myself their creatures there going to hide. So I waited until the next day to look again.

As soon as I woke up I got dressed. I was really excited for the day because I would go on adventures to look for more creatures hopefully I'll find some. I told mother I was going exploring and I went out to look. I looked high and low but couldn't find any creatures, So I went deeper into the woods. I kept walking and looking but nothing to be found. I started to give up.

I started to walk back home. But then I noticed it was getting dark, so I started fast walking. But the little trail I tried to make wasn't there anymore. I tried looking for something I saw a while ago but couldn't find it. I got scared and hit next to a tree. I looked around in my pack for something that will glow or a little light to make me a bit comfortable but nothing.

I felt like many things were watching me. I curled up and put my pack over my head. It made me feel a bit safer just because I couldn't see my surroundings. I woke up to the wind blowing and the trees whispering to each other. I had markings on my face from my pack being there. I rubbed my eyes to get awake. I was scared and didn't know what was going on. So I stood up and looked around there were only trees and plants.

I was just standing there when I heard something in a bush of plants. I hurriedly picked up a stick and was trying to hit whatever was in the bushes. I couldn't hit it, it was too fast. So I dropped the stick and ran. I didn't know where I was running all I knew was I was running from the thing in the bushes. 

I eventually stopped running and stood there looking around making sure nothing was near me. I kept looking around but then I heard it again, the leaves crunching on the ground. I looked around but there was nothing. Then a ghost like figure known as a Fawna. It was a tint of blue and it was floating, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. The Fawna has sparkles floating around it. I looked at it amazed wandering if it was good magic or bad. But the Fawna was just looking at me, or facing towards me, it didn't have a face.

I then it held its hand out and gave me a dandelion. I smiled and it bowed to me. It was the most beautiful moments of my entire life. As I started walking on my way through the woods, I noticed the Fawna was following me. It was almost like it was protecting me. As I was walking I heard water nearby, that meant there must have been a creek near. I walked and walked until I found the creek.

When I got to the water I soaked my head in it to cool me. I sat there in the moss looking at the water and the minnows swimming around in it. I looked behind me and the Fawna was floating there. It's beauty was to much to explain. I pulled out my journal to start journaling my adventure from this day. I sketched the Fawna so I could remember it if I made it home. The Fawna was like it could control nature. When we were sitting at the creek the Fawna made flowers circle around it and it was beautiful.

I did a bit of research on the Fawna and turns out they are very rare to find out in the wilderness. They are good magic so they will not harm you. They will only harm the thing that is trying to harm you. They understand everything you say but they do not have eyes but somehow they can see what your doing.

I looked at the Fawna and smiled. I was so lucky to find a Fawna. I said to myself. It was so beautiful but I didn't k ow what gender it was. Was it just and it or was it a he or she? I took a stick and I drew in the sand next to me. Written in the sand it said, Are you a man or woman? I wrote.

She then took the stick from me and wrote woman in the sand. Then a flower suddenly flew next to me and formed a flower crown. She placed the crown on my head and wrote in the sand, friend? She wrote. I was happy and shook my head yes. She made me a moss bed to lay on and a moss quilt. I was so warm a few seconds later I fell straight asleep.
