"Like THE Winchesters? I've heard about them. I don't know a lot, but I know their bad news." I say with a pouty face.
"They aren't as bad as everybody says. The angels have been trying to convince us for sometime now, and for a while, I believed them. I was sent on a mission. A mission to save Dean and raise him from Perdition. I was once naive too. You just... You just have to trust me O.K?"
He stared at me for a second. He obviously wanted me to say O.K. but it's not O.K. It's all falling apart. I'm hunted and my parents are dead.
"Castiel?"
"Yes?"
"What's going to happen to me? And what happened here?"
"I... I don't know. You are going to figure out who you can trust and, well, follow them to safety. The best you can do is stay safe for now."
"But how am I supposed to know who is trustworthy? This world is filled with evil and demons. Castiel I'm... I'm..." I choke up almost like I'm going to cry.
"I know it's hard. But for now we need to rest. We leave at dawn."
I lay awake for quite sometime, wondering what will happen. When I try to sleep I can't. In Heaven we never really slept. We didn't have times or a lot of darkness. Just light and work.
Castiel fell asleep right away. When we met he was obviously tired. I watched him sleep fascinated by how he worked. No grace to hold him awake and away from peace.
*7 hours later*
As Castiel woke up he looked around.
"Ah you're already up. Good we need to be on our way."
"Castiel? Have you forgotten angels don't sleep? How did you ever find peace before this?"
He tilted his head in confusion. And said," Peace? There is no peace. There is always something, even while you sleep. We must move now. If we don't we will surely be found."
We wondered out. The sun rising as we began to walk once more.
"There is a bus station not far from here. We must create a life for ourselves on earth."
"But what about your friends? Aren't we going to see them?"
He looks at me with a sadness I have never seen before.
"I cannot return to my friends. Not now. Not after everything I have done."
I stare at him for a moment. He only glances at me before continuing to walk. We walk for hours without another word.
*4 hours later*
As we board the next bus I can feel the eyes upon us.
"Castiel?" I whisper.
He turns to me and says," You get used to it. They will judge you, however, they won't hurt you."
We ride the bus for sometime. I try to talk but Castiel doesn't listen. The whole ride he stares out the window, lost in thought.
"Castiel listen to me!" I demand. He turns to me along with some other faces.
"You promised me we were going to the Winchester's. I need help and you told me they would help. I am not running away helplessly."
I stare at him for a moment. I feel he is angry but then he sighs and says," I abandoned the Winchesters and cast the angels from heaven. I have disgraced them. Do you really think anybody would want me back after that?"
"If they are truly your friends won't they understand?"
He turns to look out the window once again. "No."
I sit the rest of the bus ride in quiet. Angels do not feel pain nor comfort, but something felt odd about the ride.
*2 hours later*
We walk off the bus and to a pay phone. "What are doing?" I ask eagerly.
"I'm calling the Winchesters."
"With a box?"
He turned to look at me and said," Yes"
I could hear the phone ring and someone pick up on the other end.
"Cas?"
"Dean? I have no time to explain. I picked up a girl and I'm coming your way."
"Woah slow down there Cas. Getting a little kinky?"
"What? No I... I just. She's an angel Dean."
"Oh. Your getting some angel on angel action. Well have fun but uh stay at a motel somewhere. You don't have to drag me into it."
"Dean it's not like that it's-"
"I know what it's like. Just where ever you do it make sure you use protection."
"Dean listen to me. I'm not doing anything to this young girl. I am no longer an angel I am the one who caused them to fall."
"Cas get back to the bunker. We need to talk. In person."
Castiel looks distressed while he hangs up the phone. He turns to look at me and sees me blush.
"I-I don't know why my face is so hot." I say placing my hands to it.
Castiel blushes and turns toward the bus schedule.
"We will get on bus 87 and get off on the third stop. From there we will rent a car and drive to the bunker. The Winchesters will be there and hopefully they can help."
I stare at him for a moment longer and begin to feel uncomfortable.
*1 hour later*
Bus 87 comes and we climb on. We do just as Castiel said before. We got off at the third stop and went to rent a car.
"Sir we only have one car left in the back. You can wait for another if want."
"What kinda car is it?" Castiel asked while tilting his head.
"Well it's a '78 Lincoln Continental Mark V. It's any pretty good shape."
"Can I look at it?"
The guy nods his head and takes us to the back. As Castiel sees the car his eyes get bigger.
"I love it!" He whispers. He turns to the man and say,"We'll take it!"
We drive it out of the rent place and towards the bunker. Castiel turns on some music and the car starts bobbing up and down.
"Castiel are we almost there?" I ask eager to get out of this car.
"For angel you ask a lot of questions. And have a lot of emotions." He says glancing over at me.
"I was injured in the fall and I am only a young angel. I always felt I was different, but only because I was fascinated by Earth."
He parks the car and turns to me. "That may not be a bad thing. Now come on. We're here."
We walk right into the bunker and there I see them. The excited face of three young men.
