"It was really unnecessary for you to do that, Bakugo." You spoke as you helped Midoriya up with one hand while your other was holding the ash-blond's fist, him watching with anger as Izuku timidly hid behind you and practically buried his face into the back of your uniform.
"Keep your nose out of this, fuckhead! What are you even protecting him for, huh? You two lovers or somethin'?!" He laughed mockingly and quickly detached his fist from your hand, stumbling backwards due to the amount of personal strength he had to use with how brutally strong your hand was.
"Who said we were?" You rose a brow, scoffing.
Izuku stiffened up behind you.
Right, you didn't feel the same way about him like how he did for you.
"Just go. Looking at your face makes me wanna puke out my lunch."
——
"(N/n)!" Your one and only girlfriend called as she ran up towards you with a huge grin on her face. You, however, just gave her a rather emotionless stare and stepped on your skateboard to avoid it from falling down the halfpipe you were standing on.
"Yes, Koemi?" You responded nonchalantly, watching her with bored eyes as she quickly brought out a little heart-shaped box from her jacket.
...catching sight of the barely unnoticeable hickey she had on her collarbone, not even missing the whiff in the air of men's cologne reeking off of that unfamiliar jacket she was wearing.
"I told you before, right? That I couldn't go out on Valentine's day because I'm going on a family trip?" She hummed, earning a nod from you.
She grabbed your hand and placed the gift on top of palm. "I want you to have this! 'Kay? Okay, love you~!" She pecked you and before you could even respond, she was off and running towards her so-called boy bestfriend.
You sighed and rolled your eyes, going to place the box of chocolates on the floor before you decided to skate down the halfpipe, finally freed from that whores out-of-the-blue conversation with you.
At this point, she was making it painfully obvious that she didn't like you anymore. The only reason she bought that pathetic excuse of a gift for you was because she thought the bare minimum would still keep you hooked and continue spoiling her with attention.
'Why do I still bother with her?' The 'human' part of that a certain someone managed to crack out of you thought, also the very same part that vigorously denied the answer your other half gave which was nothing but the simple truth.
'What face would she make when she finally gets a taste of her own medicine?'
Izuku could only watch from afar as the rest of the bakusquad decided to join you on your little skating competition, seeing who will land the most tricks.
He looked back down on his journal and began writing down everything that happened this day.
You invited him, Uraraka, Shoto and Iida and the bakusquad to hang out, about how awesome you were despite being considered "boring" and "robot-like" to a few others, about how he wanted to tell you his feelings but couldn't find the confidence to do so.
When he realized his feelings, it was when you guys reached middle school. It never dawned upon him that what he felt towards you was a little more than idolization, it took him to see a gay couple walk down his school hallway hand-in-hand to realize that there was a gigantic possibility that his feelings were something entirely different. He had just been dumbing them down to simple 'admiration' and... 'man crush' as he heard his classmates say.
