I breath slowly, quietly. Beneath me I feel the cold wet concrete. Wrapped around my wrist I can feel the cold of the chains against my sour wounds. It hurts to breathe but I don't make a sound cause I know it would be a death sentence.
Footsteps pierce the cold silent room. I hold my breath, hoping he won't hear me. He comes so close to him, we are face to face. His breath is appalling, the smell of cigarettes and beer.
Scared I back away into the corner I am chained to. He rises from the ground and feels around for the light switch. Bright light showers over the crowed basement. He looks at me grabs my chin, raises my face and throws me back down on to the hard ground. I try not to make a noise but I burst into tears.
He kicks me in the side, it becomes harder to breathe.
