I sat down, in plain sight so he could see. My friends continued in circles, wondering why the hell I shooed them away in the first place.
Test #1 Objective: See if boy notices the girl looking upset. Then observe the boys' reaction.
So far, boy hasn't noticed anything but the girls around him. I searched the floor, looking for his plaid flannel. It looked so cute on him. Just the way it clung to him when he flexed, and how it waved as the air flew under it was enough for me. He had managed to disappear once again. Oops.
"Hey," I jumped at his voice.
Test #1 Observation #1: Boy cares about girl.
"Hey," I replied, looking away. I could still feel him looking at me. "Why aren't you out there?" I nodded towards the rink.
"What's wrong?"
Alright, ignore my question. Go ahead just change the subject. No, no- it's totally okay.
"Nothing," I tried hiding my smile as he stared at me waiting for a real answer.
"If you don't answer me, I'll kiss you!"
This posed an important ultimatum.
