Tomorrow was Christmas, and Victor himself had no plans as to where to spend his time. Usually it wouldn't be an issue, but due to his cybernetics failing in recent missions he was asked to work on patrol until the research could discover the issue. He was alone this year.
He walked through the crowd of the city streets, each person with a smile as they anticipated the joy to be present tomorrow morning in the presence of loved ones. He stopped as he looked to his right, a large building emitting red and green shining onto him. The building was the home of his father and mother, being their more than anywhere else he was almost certain he could find them there. He paused before continuing to walk. He had no plans on seeing his father after what had happened. He acted stupid, and what happened to him was in no way the fault of his parents as he once believed. He has grown since then, and had come to forgive them but still hasn't himself.
Footsteps grew behind him as he heard his name being yelled. He turned to see none other than the face of his father, breathing heavily in the freezing weather.
"Son...I was told that the security saw you but I didn't..."
"What, dad? Didn't believe I'd be in the city? Didn't believe I'd ever come back looking like this?"
he asked, gesturing to himself. A hologram projector gave him the appearance that he once had, but the press of a button shut it down immediately, people shocked as they walked past the two. Silias stood silent.
"Your mother and I still love you, Victor. We're sorry."
Victor himself went silent. Memories flooded his head as a single tear tear slipped down the side of his face. He wiped his face as he wrapped his arms around his father gently. His father was surprised at first, but soon embraced the hug as well.
"Merry Christmas, Victor. Come, it's freezing out here."
Silica said as he led his son back inside to the lab.
The whole family would be home for Christmas that year.
