Current time 3:34 am New York City. Charles

Gun shots were heard as Charles got up from his bed. Awaken by the sudden loud noise he grabbed his gun from underneath his pillow and ran out of the room. His green hues scanned the halls as he slowly made his way to the 3rd floor entrance. Footsteps were following behind him as he pivoted his foot and aimed at the person with his gun. His brother William, held his gun up as well signaling for him to keep going. Sighing softly and nodding, Charles continued to walk amongst his mansion. Stopping at the top of the staircase he listened. Two unfamiliar voices were heard downstairs. Slowly creeping down he made sure not to make any extra noise. Stopping at the end of the staircase he peaked around the corner as a bullet hit the wall he was hiding behind. Crouching down he ran and started to fire his gun. Doing a barrel roll behind the couch he breathed out. A body hit the floor he must have shot one of the intruders. Meanwhile his brother went around on the opposite side of the house. Slowly entering the kitchen another man was there tying up the chef and maid. Unloading two bullets into the mans chest, he was down.

"Charles he's down. I only heard two."
William said as he began to untie the chief and maid. Charles approached his brother and the house workers. Raising an eyebrow he looked around.

"There was only two love. Me and Joesph were sleeping and we heard talking from outside of our window. And when we walked out of our room the two men hit our heads with their guns." Ana Marie said as tears were still falling down the old women's face
"And the gun shot?"
Charles spoke out before gently wiping the tears and blood from his maids face.
"It was a miss fire. One of the men were on a phone call and the other was snooping around. Must have accidentally pulled the trigger."
Joesph said. The old man got up and walked to his wife. He gently held her and began to caress her hair.
"Miss fire? That doesn't seem right. If they knew how to get inside and managed to tie you two up they wouldn't have been rookie enough to accidentally fire."
William said as her rubbed his five o'clock shadow. He then looked out of the window then around the house. Charles rubbed his face as he sighed. Another break in this month.
"Oh fuck it! They shot Bruce!"
Charles sighed and walked to William. There on the floor was his dead dog. Charles tapped his foot before snapping his fingers.
"Clean it up. Throw him away or bury him I don't care. I'm going back to bed."
And with that Charles walked back upstairs to his room.

Ana Marie watched Charles as more tears fell from her dark blue iris. Joesph gently tapped her shoulder and pointed to Charles as he walked upstairs. Nodding the elder women went and followed him. William and Joesph looked at the dog. As if in sync they sighed and grabbed a trash bag. They placed the dog into it as William took it out into the back. Joesph cleaned the marble flooring and went into the backyard to help William. They dug a small grave and placed the dog into it. Looking at the sky William noticed the sun already rising up. He sighed and rubbed his face with his shoulder.
"Man this is a shitty ass morning."
Joesph chuckled as he patted Williams shoulder. Nodding In agreement they both went inside after setting a large stone on the dogs grave.

Ana Marie knocked softly on Charles door. As he spoke for her to enter she opened the door and looked at him sitting on his bed.
She sighed as she took noticed of the whiskey glass already in his hand. Sitting beside him the old women took the glass and set it on his nightstand. She looked at Charles  and spoke softly.
"Charlie. What are we doing to do about these break ins love. Me and your uncle are getting old and brittle. We don't need this excitement every night."
Ana checked her watch before looking at Charles. He rubbed his face and groaned before laying back in bed.
"I'll figure it out Ana. Our family is coming back tonight we'll have more guards. Wake me up in two hours. I have errands to run."
And with that Charles turned and closed his eyes. Ana kissed his head gently and turned off his lights before leaving. Checking her time once more to know the exact hour to wake him up she went back downstairs and cleaned up.
