"It's always for you and never for me."

Taehyung laid on his bed while staring at his plain white ceiling. Thoughts about a certain brown head circled and crowded his mind abrasively.
The silver-haired male finally made his decision. He's going to start unloving the younger who knows nothing but to break his heart unknowingly.
"I'm happy for you, I'm smiling for you, it's always for you, for you."
"Hello? Taetae Oppa? Are you there?" A small voice asked while knocking at the door softly.
Taehyung went towards his door and opened it gently, "Oh, hi Keila! What brings you here? Where's your brother?" He smiled while ushering the aforementioned little girl to come inside and sit on the sofa.
"I brought you some cookies and vanilla ice cream because Minnie said you're sick." Keila grinned and gave the cookies that are inside a cute container and the vanilla ice cream that Minjae bought just for her.
"Awe, you're so sweet, baby. Thank you! But don't you wanna eat them? It looks delicious. Are you sure you wanna give 'em to me?" Taehyung sat beside her.
"It's yours, Taetae! All yours." She smiled shyly and played with her floral dress.
"Thank you, bub. Let's eat, shall we?" Taehyung went to the kitchen and came back with two spoons.
"But that's yours, Taetae..." Keila stared at the elder with doe eyes.
"Let's share, bun. I can't eat this alone. Pwease?" Taehyung gave the smaller puppy eyes.
"Okay, Taetae." She giggled.
--- The Next Day ---
Taehyung walked towards his classroom with his earphones inside his ears, blocking the loud noises coming from the students who are making their way to their own classroom.
"Taehyungie!" Jimin back hugged the younger with a grin. The aforesaid male jumped slightly with his eyes wide, "You scared me, Chim." He breathed out.
"Oopsie, sorry, Tae." The blond grinned and linked his arms with the younger, "So you feel better now?" He asked.
Taehyung nodded silently while giving Jimin a small smile. "You sure, Taebabe?" The elder asked with a worried look on his face.
"Yes, Hyung. Don't worry." The grey-haired male assured.
"Opening up means trusting others. That's just too much, I don't want to bother."
They sat on their chairs and waited for their teacher. Jeongguk went in shortly and sat on his chair slowly.
"Hey, guys... Tae? Can I talk to you after school?" Jeongguk asked hesitantly.
Taehyung nodded quietly without sparing the brown head a single glance.
Jimin darted his gaze towards the silver-haired boy and the youngest. The atmosphere is extremely awkward and tense. The blond can slice the tension with a knife if he had one.
--
Taehyung roamed his eyes around the not so special cabin with a blank expression. He didn't want to be with the younger right now especially when he knew what Jeongguk is going to talk about.
"So... Uhm..." Jeongguk breathed in deeply, contemplating on where he's going to begin.
The elder continued to examine the room, trying to pry his attention away from the brown head.
Taehyung spent his day avoiding Jeongguk at all costs. He even ate lunch with Minjae so he won't be dealing with the younger. The hyungs understood why but they told him to talk it out with Jeongguk so they can sort things out.
"Taehyungie, I know you're mad at me. I'm mad at myself, too. I should have known better than to hurt you." Jeongguk paused and held the boy's soft delicate hands.
Taehyung froze and stared at their intertwined hands with wide eyes. There it goes again, his heart began to pound against his rib cage. He became all jittery. He hates it. He hates how the younger can still make him feel things like he did before.
No, remember? You need to fucking move on or you'll get hurt over and over again.
Taehyung thought before pulling his hands away from Jeongguk. The younger sighed when the warmth of the silver head's hands vanished.
"This cabin? This cabin is still special and will be forever special. I made a mistake to even let Jiyeon come in here when we promised each other that we're the only ones that are allowed here..." Jeongguk pursed his lips before continuing.
"I'm really sorry about the kiss, Taehyungie. It was your first but I wasted it. I'm really sorry, Tae. I'm sorry for always hurting you." The younger's lips quivered as blinked rapidly.
Taehyung averts his gaze from the teary brown head. "I-I don't want to lose you, Tae. I promise that I'll be better so I can deserve you. I don't want anything to change between us, H-Hyung." Jeongguk swiftly engulfed the elder and nuzzled his nose against his neck.
"Please, I'm sorry. I made a mistake, a very big mistake and I regret all of it. Taehyungie, c-come back to me." The younger tightened his arms around the aforesaid boy.
Taehyung let out a shaky breath before wrapping his arms around the younger, "It's fine, Gguk. Just don't do it again." He said while rubbing the brown-haired male's back soothingly.
"Are you sure? You really forgive me just this fast? Don't you want to punish me, Tae?" Jeongguk bombarded him with questions.
"Y-yes... Because I--"
Because I love you-- No! Stop! Stop it, Tae! You don't love him anymore, okay?
"Because what, Taehyungie?" Jeongguk pulled away and tilted his head in confusion.
"B-because I'm your best friend." Taehyung smiled.
Just your best friend.
