Mia's POV

"30 minutes till show time!" The stage manager yelled into the girls dressing room.

I tied a purple ribbon around my bun and looked in the mirror. To say I was nervous was an understatement. We are performing in a huge theatre and the show is sold out. Not to mention I am the lead of the whole thing. If I mess up everyone will notice. I felt slightly nauseous but I kept taking deep breaths to calm myself down. I have done this show a million times. Just because a bunch of people are here doesn't mean I need to freak out.

"You got any family coming tonight?" Emma asks me as she puts her hair up. "Nope. The day my family comes to watch me dance is the day aliens will land on the earth." I say sarcastically causing her to laugh.

"You never know. We are in LA so maybe some famous people might show up." Emma says with a grin. I shrug as I stand up and make sure my dress is on correctly. It was purple and the top had sparkles on it and the skirt was flowy and long.  I slid on my point shoes and walked out of the dressing room. We had ballet bars back stage to warm up.

"You excited for the show Mia?" Jacob asked me as he warmed up. "Of course I am." I reply as I stretch out my legs. Dancing was my everything and being able to perform on big stages was a dream come true. I warmed up for another 20 minutes.

"Places! The show starts in ten!" The stage manager yelled. I took a deep breath and headed backstage. I stood behind the closed curtain. I was prepared for this, I wasn't going to mess up. I heard many voices talking in the audience. It sounded like a lot of people. A lot of people here to see ME dance. I heard footsteps and Jacob stood behind me.

"We got this." He whispered as I nodded in agreement. The other dancers took their places around us.

"We would like to welcome you all to Dance world! We are so excited to show you our performance. As you know the dancers have worked very hard to create the show just for you. We hope you enjoy and thank you for coming." The announcer said causing the audience to cheer and clap.

The lights dimmed and the audience got quiet. I could only hear some murmuring from the audience. I felt Jacobs hands on my waist as the sound of the curtain opening was very evident. I placed my hands on his hands and stretched my foot out and pointed it. The music started and a spotlight shone right on me.

"It's go time." I whispered to Jacob. I counted 5 6 7 8 in my head and then began dancing. Jacob lifted me up as I kicked my legs out. The audience was watching us intently as we did our routine. My eyes scanned the front row as we did the dance. The lights blinded me so I could only see the front row and not any further. My eyes saw a bunch of guys around my age watching us intently.

My eyes then landed on the guy sitting on the end. His ocean eyes were staring right back into mine. Who was this very attractive blonde stranger and why were we staring into each other's eyes? I watched him as he watched me and he seems mesmerized by my movement. I didn't even have to think about the dance it was already engraved in my brain. His eyes widened as I did a huge leap and I smiled at him.

I had to admit he was very good looking and I was intrigued by him. I stopped staring at him and turned around. All the other dances had left the stage for my solo. I did a side aerial causing the audience to gasp and clap. It was a very emotional song so I showed the passion through my movements. I did many turns in a row causing the audience to clap even louder. My eyes met the strangers again and he seemed amazed.

"She's amazing!" He shouted to his brown haired friend. The music changed and the other dances then came back on stage.

I grabbed Jacobs hand and stepped on his back. No matter how many times I do this stunt it always made me nervous. All the dancers bent over as I stepped on their backs. The backs got higher and higher as I stepped. At the end I would turn around and do a trust fall and David would catch me. I got to the last back and turned around and let my body fall back.

"Mia!" I heard David yell. I couldn't understand what was happening until I felt my body slam hard against the ground. My vision became blurry and my ears started ringing. I felt extreme pain in my back and legs. I heard gasps and screams come from the audience as my eyes slammed shut.
