                                                     Lennex P.O.V

I lay my head back, my hand gripping tightly to the seat in front of me as Brooklyn’s purple Jeep drives along the highway. As the car gains speed my long blonde hair fans out behind me, and if I close my eyes and tilt my head just so, it feels like I’m flying, soaring like a free bird. I study all the clouds as they blur by, squinting as they blend with the endless blue sky. As the sky whirls by, the smell of salt wafts up from the ocean and into my nose. I inhale deeply and try my best to memorize the smell of the endless blue ocean. I open my eyes to look around, and I see my best friends Hayden, Chase, Juliette, and Brooklyn all doing the same thing, well except Brooklyn because she is driving. I should probably introduce myself, my name is Lennex Sawyer and I’m “the good girl” Thats it, and I’m sick of it, so, in the year my parents are letting me take off before College I am going on a year long road trip with all my friends, and it’s going to be awesome and I am going to do whatever I want. Literally whatever, and at the moment this means going to California. Driving. From Connecticut. We have been driving for about a week now, and my butt feels like it is going to fall off! Humans are not supposed to sit this much. Although I should be happy that I even got to go, I mean I love my mom, but she can be a little overprotective at times... Well that is a major understatement, but I still love her. I lose my train of thought as the first notes of what makes you beautiful blast through the stereo. We all squeal and sing along, terribly off key I might add, until we get to an intersection. It’s kind of funny, how one choice, how one mistake, how one thing has the power to turn all of your life upside down. And that is exactly what happened to us. The car that had the red light blew right through it, and as it seemed to skid towards us in slow motion. I let out a blood curdling scream and the car slammed into us. A hot, searing pain registered in my mind and everywhere hurt, blinding pain shot through my body, and I knew why, I had been on the same side as the impact. Time slowed down the car flipped into the air, it was almost as if it was suspended there,in the air for a moment, but the moment was gone too soon. The car slammed into the pavement upside down, showers of glass were everywhere, falling from the sky like raindrops. The silver rims could be seen rolling slowly down the street, and I could feel hot metal pressing in on my head and side. Through all the panic the radio still played the now haunting notes of What Makes You Beautiful.

Louis p.o.v:

“Boo Bear,” A certain curly haired boy whines, “ Could you possibly drive slower?” “Mhm” “Yeah” “Please?” The other boys chimed in. “Fine!” I snapped and I floored it. I should've known. “As the car got faster and faster Liam let out a scream “There’s a red light Louis!” The car was going to fast. When I saw the other car my breath caught in my throat and I slammed on the brakes, but it didn’t do anything. We slammed into the Jeep with a terrifying scream from the girl closest to us. Everything was in slow motion, the Jeep flying in the air, the glass, the screams. Before my brain could register what was happening I was out of the car running towards the Jeep. The paramedics yell and shout, but all their words are muted as I stare at the wrecked car. Someone slapping my face rudely jerks me back to reality. “Louis!” Harry yells, “What do you think you're doing?”  I swallow a lump that somehow formed in my throat and stutter “I-I don’t know...” I trail off “Well Li is driving us to the hospital to wait for the girls in the car, lets go.” Harry says with a half-hearted smile. I nod and follow him to the truck. What just happened I ask myself.

So I know it kind of sucks, but it will get better :)
